HI everyone! how are you? I hope you guys are fine. Today I visited the Ullen Sentalu Museum, a museum of Javanese art, culture and history, the Sentalu Museum is located on Jl. Boyong No. KM 25, Kaliurang, Hargobinangun, Kec. Pakem, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region, Indonesia. The museum is open from tuesday to sunday, and closed on sunday, open from 08:30 to 16:00 pm, the ticket price to enter here starts from 50,000 to 100,000 per person and here there are various types of tours, there are pergrub or personal trub tours , to enter during a pandemic like this, visitors must attach a vaccination letter to the second vaccine, as a form of health protocol. The Ulle Sentalu Museum provides an overview and story about culture from the past, as well as being a place to tell the history, culture, and art of the past, here the nation's culture is well inherited. I saw many statues and sculptures about Javanese history and culture, this was my first time visiting here, and saw in full how this place became a place for visiting and learning. I went with my friends, at 12:00 noon, I spent time in this Museum seeing a lot of history, and listening to the guide telling stories about the culture of the past.

The Ulle Sentalu Museum was first inaugurated by the Governor of the Special Region of Yogyakarta Sri Paduka Paku Alam on March 1, 1997. As for the name of the museum "Ullen Sentalu" is a name taken from the Javanese language, this word is taken from the sentence "Ulating Blencong Sejatining Tataraning Lumaku" which means "Light is a guide in the path of life". The Ullen Sentalu Museum was established with the aim of reconstructing tangible (bendawi) culture in the form of exhibitions and sculptures, with this the history of Bendawi will never be forgotten and will always be maintained into the future, this museum plays an important role as the inheritor of future histories. then.

The Ullen Sentalu Museum was built in the highlands of the Sleman mountains which has an area of approximately 1.2 hectares, its geographical location on the slopes of a volcano makes this museum cool under a pressure of 25 degrees, people around the place nicknamed the land where the Ullen Sentalu museum stands. with the nickname "House of Heaven" or known in Javanese "Ndalem Kaswargan", a variety of plants bloom and adorn the beauty of this Ullen Senntalu museum. The Ullen Sentalu Museum presents historical collections ranging from the relics of the Mataram kingdom to the Islamic Mataram Kingdom, all of these collections are still very well maintained, when we visit here, we are like being transported to the past, and witness the beauty of the Mataram kingdom.

The atmosphere around the beautiful Ullen Sentalu Museum with its cool air is perfect for you to relax and unwind from the city atmosphere. The breeze that blows and the gurgling of water from a number of ponds around the museum add to the cool atmosphere. One of the rooms that spoiled my eyes the most was in the Syair room for Tineke, Tineke was a daughter of Sunan Surakarta Pakubuwono XI, it was told that she experienced her biggest heartbreak when the man she loved was rejected as not an equal in the family, in that broken heart, the Putri gets a lot of love letters to cheer up from her friends and siblings, all of those letters can be read and seen in this room.

In addition to the love story of the princess Tineke, another thing that can be seen from this museum is the very European architectural building combined with the concept of the Mataram kingdom, then there are also other historical collections such as those in the dance art museum, the guwa sela giri room, the Kambang Village, Retja Landa Corridor, and Cultural Room.

The presence of tourist objects such as the Ullen Sentalu museum provides many learning windows for visitors, learning about civilization and culture during the Mataram kingdom, which became the center of work in the kingdom of Solo, Java, Indonesia.

What do you think? Is the Ullen Sentalu Museum suitable as a place for tourism and learning?

Thank you for reading my post about the Ulle Sentalu museum, see you on the next trip.
