Hello dear friends, what a joy to greet you again, today I want to talk to you about the covid vaccine, some people wonder if they should get it or not when they are pregnant or breastfeeding, they are afraid that something bad will happen to their baby. I had that thought in my head too, until my doctor told me that my baby was in danger if I didn't get it.
Hola queridos amigos, que alegría volver a saludarlos, el día de hoy les quiero hablar acerca de la vacuna del covid, algunos se preguntan si deberían de colocársela o no estando embarazadas o estando amamantando, les da mucho miedo de que le ocurra algo malo a su bebé. A mí también me pasó eso por la cabeza, hasta que mi doctora me dijo que mi bebé corría peligro era si no me la colocaba.
Of course, this depends on the vaccines that are being administered in your country, because it seems that the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are not being administered to pregnant women and they are still studying them to see what effect they have on the fetus.
Here in Venezuela they are administering Sinovac, Sinopharm, both are Chinese vaccines, and also the Russian vaccine Sputnik V. These three vaccines are being administered to pregnant women and they are placing more emphasis on high-risk pregnant women. They send a message to the person on the day the vaccine is due and on that day one arrives early to stand in line.
Claro está, eso depende de las vacunas que se están colocando en tu país, porque las vacunas de Pfizer y Moderna al parecer no la están colocando en las embarazadas aún las están estudiando para ver que efecto tiene en el feto.
Aquí en Venezuela están colocando Sinovac, Sinopharm ambas son vacunas chinas y, además, la vacuna rusa Sputnik V estas tres vacunas las están colocando a las embarazadas y están haciendo más énfasis sobre todo en las embarazadas que son del alto riesgo. Le envían un mensaje a la persona el día que le corresponde la vacuna y ese día uno llega temprano a hacer la cola.
I was given the Chinese vaccine called Sinopharm and everyone around me was very afraid that I would get it and I was calm because I wanted to protect my baby, but my family and friends were afraid that I would have a reaction because they had heard many comments from people about the reactions of the vaccine.
On the day it was my turn, there were more than 1000 people when I arrived with my husband, since it was our turn on the same day, unfortunately there was no preferential pass for senior citizens, women with babies, disabled or pregnant women, so, at almost eight months pregnant I had to wait in a super long line that lasted 9 to 10 hours, it was very stressful and exhausting.
A mí me colocaron la vacuna china llamada Sinopharm y todos a mi alrededor tenían mucho miedo de que me la colocará y yo estaba tranquila porque quería proteger a mi bebé, pero mi familia y amigos tenían miedo de que me diera alguna reacción porque habían escuchado muchos comentarios de la gente sobre las reacciones de la vacuna.
Ese día que me tocó a mí, había más de 1000 personas cundo llegue junto con mi esposo, ya que nos tocó el mismo día, lamentablemente no había pase preferencial para las personas de tercera edad, ni mujeres con bebé, ni discapacitados, ni embarazadas así que, a mis casi ocho meses de embarazo tuve que hacer una cola superlarga que duró de 9 a 10 horas, fue muy estresante y agotador.
When around 5:00 pm the vaccine was given to me it was a relief, the exhaustion and sunstroke I received during the day were already taking their toll and I just wanted to get home to sleep, as I already had inflammation in my feet. They gave me the vaccine and I didn't even feel the needle or the liquid, if I hadn't seen it go in I would have said they didn't give me anything.
We went home and I waited for the night to see if I had any reaction and nothing, only my arm felt a little heavy, the next day I was normal and the many reactions I expected, I did not feel any. No matter what anyone says, we should trust the professionals who know and want to protect our baby.
Cuando alrededor de las 5:00 pm me corresponde la vacuna fue un alivio, el agotamiento e insolación por el sol que recibí durante el día ya me estaban pasando factura y solo quería llegar a casa a dormir, pues ya tenía inflamación en los pies. Me colocaron la vacuna y ni sentí la aguja, ni el líquido si no lo hubiese visto entrar diría que no me colocaron nada.
Nos fuimos a casa y esperé la noche a ver si me daba alguna reacción y nada, solamente se me puso el brazo un poco pesado, el día siguiente estaba normal y las tantas reacciones que esperaba, no sentí ninguna. No importa lo que todas las personas digan, debemos confiar más en los profesionales que saben y quieren proteger a nuestro bebé.
Now in our country they started to put the third dose and I am also going to put it to continue immunizing my baby through breastfeeding, of course, that is a very personal decision and if someone decides not to put it for any reason we must respect their choice and not put pressure.

Ahora en nuestro país comenzaron a colocar la tercera dosis y también me la voy a colocar para seguir inmunizando a mi bebé mediante la lactancia materna, claro, esa es una decisión muy personal y si alguien decide no colocársela por cualquier razón debemos respetar su elección y no presionar.
