Hace un par de días, en mis típicas búsquedas de deleite musical navegando por YouTube, entre tantas canciones buenas me conseguí la pieza de la banda mexicana Zoé que hoy he traído en forma de un cover acústico: Soñé (I dreamed). En lo particular, las letras de esta banda me parecen muy empalagosas, demasiado amorío embalsamado con sufrimiento y melancolía, pero, más allá de esto, la banda tiene un estilo único, sus composiciones y la intención que le ponen a las mismas transmiten sentimientos únicos.

En el caso de esta canción que hoy traigo, al escucharla y tocarla, muchas emociónes y sensaciones extravagantes se suscitan en mi. Tal vez es por la forma de los acordes o el canto, pero siempre me deja una interesante sensación. Otra cosa que me gusta de esta canción es como comienza, empieza con mucha fuerza, por lo menos al cantarla, y termina con una resolución más calmada y grave en el coro. Prosigue con su armonía, como una danza melancólico y emocionante, conmovedora e inspiradora al mismo tiempo.

A couple of days ago, in my typical searches for musical delight surfing YouTube, among so many good songs I found the piece by the Mexican band Zoé that I have brought here in the form of an acoustic cover: Soñé (I dreamed). In particular, the lyrics of this band seem to me very cloying, too much love embalmed with suffering and melancholy, but, beyond this, the band has a unique style, their compositions and the intention they put into them transmit unique feelings.

In the case of this song that I bring today, listening to it and playing it, many emotions and extravagant sensations arise in me. Maybe it is because of the form of the chords or the singing, but it always leaves me with an interesting sensation. Another thing I like about this song is the way it starts, it begins with a lot of strength, at least when singing it, and ends with a calmer and more serious resolution in the chorus. It goes on with its harmony, like a melancholic and moving dance, touching and inspiring at the same time.

La letra, pues, como dije, para mi gusto es muy romántica, o muy sufrida ja,ja,ja, pero aún así hablaré un poco de ella: La canción nos habla de un sentimiento de anhelo por lo que fue un amor, una súplica por regresar el tiempo a aquel instante en que se conectaba física y emocionalmente con la persona amada. "Todo el tiempo estoy pensando en ti, en el brillo del sol, en un rincón del cielo" esta es la letra con la cual comienza lo que sería el coro, y es aquí donde las palabras y la armonía causan emociones interesantes en mi, ¿Por qué? Bueno, de niño siempre me la pasaba viendo hacia el cielo, buscando un rincón agusto en el, tal y como dice la canción. En el cielo he encontrado regocijo, emoción de calma y armonía. Se que en el cielo hay un rincón donde podemos sentirnos agustos.

"Todo el tiempo estoy pensando en ti, en el eco del mar que retumba en tus ojos de miel". En lo particular, el mar me da miedo, creo que es algo que nunca he utilizado como inspiración, pero sé que este es un factor que puede inspirar a muchos a crear poesía como esta. Lo que me gusta de la letra de esta canción, ahora que la he podido apreciar mejor y decir que si me gusta ja,ja,ja, es la poesía que relaciona factores como el cielo y el mar con el sentimiento de anhelo y arrepentimiento de lo que alguna vez fue el amor que se vivió. Creo que de eso se trata una buena letra, más allá de que sea muy romántica para mí gusto, es innegable el hecho de que es poesía formidable.

Well, as a child I was always looking up to the sky, looking for a nice corner of it, as the song says. In the sky I have found joy, emotion of calm and harmony. I know that in heaven there is a corner where we can feel at ease.

"All the time I'm thinking of you, of the echo of the sea echoing in your honey eyes". In particular, the sea scares me, I think it is something I have never used as inspiration, but I know that this is a factor that can inspire many to create poetry like this. What I like about the lyrics of this song, now that I have been able to appreciate it better and say that I do like it ha,ha,ha,ha, is the poetry that relates factors such as the sky and the sea with the feeling of longing and regret of what was once the love that was lived. I think that's what a good lyric is all about, beyond the fact that it is too romantic for my taste, it is undeniable the fact that it is formidable poetry.
