Well, that's what the plot is about. Ian is a scientist obsessed with eye biology because it would be the only way to disprove "the theories of an intelligent designer" (as he refers to God). But during the whole process of experiments and research to make this possible, he ends up discovering that all his work has a second conclusion.

Bueno, de eso va la trama. Ian es un científico obsesionado con la biología del ojo porque sería la única forma de refutar “las teorías de un diseñador inteligente” (como se refiere a Dios). Pero durante todo el proceso de experimentos e investigaciones para que esto sea posible, termina descubriendo que todo su trabajo tiene una segunda conclusión.

Aunque no todo es color de rosas con ella, esconde un pasado turbio.
