Fitness: 15th November 2021 + A Did You Know Fitness Question

Good Morning

Yesterday night was the F1 Brazilian GP, so I had to be up till 12:30 a.m. Though I am rooting for Max Verstappen, what a race Lewis Hamilton had. He deserved to win, to be honest. Being disqualified in qualifying, starting last, and then winning the Grand Prix is next-level stuff. I have seen Michael do it once or twice. So, here we are staring at one of the best F1 seasons I have witnessed since Michael's retirement.

Anyway, how did it affect my fitness regime? Well, I did not allow it to affect my plan. I stayed up with my work till 5:30 a.m., and then I got ready for the run. Basically, I did not sleep and probably will look at a couple of hours break in the afternoon.

So, how was my run?

I ran five kilometers today, but I've got to say that it was the longest five-kilometers of my life. At the start itself, I could feel that I wasn't in for the run. I guess runners would know the feeling – when you want to run, and your body (or is it the mind) disagrees. Either way, I persisted. So, I completed my run in 45-minutes. That's way too slow as compared to my twelve kilometer per hour speed. Ideally, I should have finished the run in 25-minutes. I am glad I finished it, at least. 😊

So, the early morning run meant that I had enough time for my other fitness stuff. I got into weights straight away. I followed the triplet form.

  1. Arms
  2. Chest
  3. Shoulder, back and Abs

The above three exercises were completed without a break. I did take a break of 30 seconds between triplets. I thought of getting few reps of stress training too, but I let it be for today. That's something I can add on tomorrow.

And finally, my beloved Ho'oponopono sessions followed. Today it was just about three sessions. Looks like I am getting better with my life. 😊 For those wanting to learn more about Ho'oponopono, here is my write-up on the topic.

Anyway, that's it from me for now. I will see you all tomorrow.

Namaste.

😊

Did You Know?

The record for the most step ups with a 40 lb weight is held by Ron Cooper of Massachusetts, USA. Ron completed 60 step ups in one minute. He is also the holder of eight other records, which I had covered in my past articles.

These records may appear to be the same, but it is not. Do pay attention, and you will see that these are different ones. Ron holds more than 23 records, and we will be looking closely at each in the coming few days. If you wish, you can read more about Ron in this article.
