Cómo cada semana, otro concurso en la comunidad de CineTV; en esta oportunidad tenemos como asignación el realizar una publicación sobre nuevas Película Deportiva Favorita, este debe ser el concurso más fácil a realizar por la gran cantidad de películas que existe dentro de este género y tal vez sea el que más participación tenga, pero a pesar de la gran cantidad de producciones, dramas, comedias y hasta de acción, creo que ninguna película puede alcanzar la importancia del film que he elegido y que es la mejor película deportiva de la historia.

Like every week, another contest in the CineTV community; this time we have as an assignment to make a publication on new Favorite Sports Movie, this must be the easiest contest to make because of the large number of films that exist within this genre and may be the one that has more participation, but despite the large number of productions, dramas, comedies and even action, I think no film can reach the importance of the film I have chosen and that is the best sports movie in history.

"The legend continues...The Italian Stallion is back!!..."

Superman de Richard Donner fue la primera película basada en un comic que vi; Star Wars fue la primera gran saga que vi, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial fue la primera película de ciencia ficción que vi (mi madre me llevó al cine con poca edad) y mi primera película deportiva fue nada más y nada menos que Rocky III. Siempre he pensado que esta saga deportiva basada en la historia de un hombre que por la vía de sus golpes pudo superar cualquier obstáculo y se ganó el respeto de su familia, la sociedad y sus rivales y es que en dos películas anteriores, "Rocky" evoluciono como historia, en dónde primero un joven y fuerte boxeador se gana la posibilidad de enfrentar a un gran campeón y después recibe una segunda posibilidad para cumplir un sueño y alcanzar lo imposible lo cual es el título y ser el nuevo campeón; posiblemente para muchos la historia de este personaje llegó a un fin, pero para un campeón el reto siempre está latente y ese reto siempre se presentará en fuertes rivales, puedo decir que hasta imposibles de derrotar, pero justamente en este tercer episodio de esta gran historia el reto impuesto está al mismo nivel que tuvo que enfrentar en las dos primeras partes.

Richard Donner's_ Superman was the first movie based on a comic book I saw; Star Wars was the first great saga I saw, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial was the first science fiction movie I saw (my mother took me to the movies at a young age) and my first sports movie was nothing more and nothing less than Rocky III. I have always thought that this sports saga based on the story of a man who by the way of his punches could overcome any obstacle and earned the respect of his family, society and his rivals and is that in two previous films, "Rocky" evolved as a story, where first a young and strong boxer earns the chance to face a great champion and then receives a second chance to fulfill a dream and achieve the impossible which is the title and be the new champion; Possibly for many the story of this character came to an end, but for a champion the challenge is always latent and that challenge will always be presented in strong rivals, I can say that even impossible to defeat, but just in this third episode of this great story the challenge imposed is at the same level that he had to face in the first two parts.

A pesar de no ver las dos anteriores películas de Rocky, esta tiene la facilidad de entender la historia, aunque se muestre una etapa en dónde el campeón es intratable, pero la realidad es que es protegido para seguir manteniendo una imagen de ser el mejor y es que el reto no existe, lo único que importa es hacer dinero gracias a venta de la imagen de un campeón; todo esto es muchas veces visto en cualquier deporte en dónde como se dice en un diálogo en "The Dark Knight Rises" de Nolan: "Victory has defeated you" y es que sí, cada fácil victoria ha debilitado las ganas de competir de Rocky, le ha hecho subestimar a sus oponentes y eso le cuesta la victoria y hasta puedo decir a un amigo, a un padre; está en realidad es la gran derrota que debe enfrentar Rocky en esta parte y el gran llamado de atención para que recupere las ganas de competir y de evolucionar como peleador para que nuevamente deba enfrentar a un duro rival y así conseguir nuevamente el respeto, la admiración y el título de campeón.

Despite not seeing the two previous Rocky movies, this one has the ease of understanding the story, although it shows a stage where the champion is unbeatable, but the reality is that he is protected to continue maintaining an image of being the best and the challenge does not exist, the only thing that matters is to make money by selling the image of a champion; all this is often seen in any sport where as it is said in a dialogue in "The Dark Knight Rises" by Nolan: "Victory has defeated you" and is that yes, every easy victory has weakened Rocky's desire to compete, has made him underestimate his opponents and that costs him the victory and I can even say a friend, a father; this is actually the great defeat that Rocky must face in this part and the great wake-up call for him to regain the desire to compete and evolve as a fighter so that again he must face a tough opponent and thus get again the respect, admiration and the title of champion.

Este film fue dirigido, escrito y por supuesto, protagonizado por Sylvester Stallone; está historia catapultó la carrera de este actor y pienso que no perdió la oportunidad de hacer una historia tal vez menos dramática y convertirla en más asequible para el público en general; estoy seguro de que Stallone pensó en tomar lo mejor de los dos primeros films y maximizar todo; pienso que como guionista y director supo en qué momento estaba la historia de su gran creación y por eso quiso transformar en un gran espectáculo porque hay que recordar que con el estreno y éxito del primer film, Sylvester ganó un premio Oscar como "Mejor Guion Original" entonces parte de un gran reconocimiento estaba alcanzado, solo faltaba era terminar de crear un ícono, un personaje inmortal que alcanzara diferentes niveles y siempre he dicho que este film fue perfecto en eso. Rocky ha tenido momentos inolvidables, siempre lo acompaña la historia épica y de superación y está no podía ser de otra forma y por eso creo que Stallone estaba obligado a crear un rival que no sea más que Apollo, que sea diferente a su duro y fuerte anterior rival; en esta historia necesitaba un enemigo y en Mr. T lo consiguió, la interpretación de este actor como "James "Clubber" Lang" fue igual de icónico que el protagonista de esta historia, un personaje fácil de despreciar y más por como sucede la obtención del título, por cómo derrota a Rocky; entre estos dos actores existe un gran química que se aprecia en las escenas que comparten en especial en la gran pelea final.

This film was directed, written and of course, starred by Sylvester Stallone; this story catapulted the career of this actor and I think he did not miss the opportunity to make a story perhaps less dramatic and make it more accessible to the general public; I am sure that Stallone thought to take the best of the first two films and maximize everything; I think that as a screenwriter and director he knew at what point was the story of his great creation and that's why he wanted to transform it into a great show because you have to remember that with the release and success of the first film, Sylvester won an Oscar award for "Best Original Screenplay" then part of a great recognition was achieved, it was only missing was to finish creating an icon, an immortal character that reached different levels and I have always said that this film was perfect in that. Rocky has had unforgettable moments, he is always accompanied by the epic story and overcoming and this could not be otherwise and that's why I think that Stallone was obliged to create a rival that is not more than Apollo, that is different from his tough and strong previous rival; in this story he needed an enemy and in Mr. T he got it, the interpretation of this actor as "James "Clubber" Lang" was just as iconic as the protagonist of this story, a character easy to despise and more for how it happens the obtaining of the title, for how he defeats Rocky; between these two actors there is a great chemistry that can be appreciated in the scenes they share especially in the great final fight.

Ahora con respecto a este film dentro del género deportivo en el cine, puedo decir que cumple perfectamente en todo y como ya he descrito, lo lleva a otro nivel, por ejemplo, en esta historia primeramente demuestra al campeón en lo más alto para después verlo caer, perder, vivir lo duro de la derrota, la depresión y el miedo a tal vez no volver a ganar, pero también es obligatorio ver el regreso, la evolución, las ganas de ser campeón, todo acompañado de un gran tema musical como es "Eye of the Tiger" que con tan solo escucharla te hacen sentir ganador y es que no me canso en decir que "Rocky III" es más que sus dos antecesoras y eso es algo que siempre me ha gustado de este film y lo hace épico y antes alabo el trabajo del guion porque está historia demuestra muchas cosas sobre estar en una zona de confort, permitir eso para justamente no perder, pero al momento de caer derrotado demostrar quién en realidad es y contar con nuevos apoyos, personas que creen qué se puede volver a lograr lo imposible y ser nuevamente el mejor; en realidad la historia es motivadora, muy bien desarrollada, inspiradora y aunque se vuelve fantasiosa por parte de la dirección del mismo Stallone, creo que eso también la hace emocionante y es que recuerdo cuando niño ver la pelea final y sentir que estaba viendo algo real, gritar y apoyar a Rocky y sentir felicidad al verlo nuevamente ser campeón y no solo en ese momento, hasta el día de hoy sigo apoyando a Rocky, en las demás historias, bueno en Rocky V no porque es la que menos me gusta, pero en las demás y hasta en las dos primeras películas de CREED en dónde vemos que este personaje es completamente único, en sus victorias y derrotas tanto en el cuadrilátero cómo en la vida misma.

Now with respect to this film within the sports genre in cinema, I can say that it fulfills perfectly in everything and as I have already described, it takes it to another level, for example, in this story first shows the champion at the top to then see him fall, lose, live the hard of defeat, depression and fear of maybe not winning again, but it is also mandatory to see the return, the evolution, the desire to be champion, all accompanied by a great theme song like "Eye of the Tiger" that just by listening to it makes you feel like a winner and I never tire of saying that "Rocky III" is more than its two predecessors and that is something that I have always liked about this film and makes it epic and before I praise the work of the script because this story shows many things about being in a comfort zone, allowing that in order not to lose, but at the moment of defeat to show who you really are and to have new supporters, people who believe that you can achieve the impossible and be the best again; actually the story is motivating, very well developed, inspiring and although it becomes fantasy by the direction of Stallone, I think that also makes it exciting and I remember as a child watching the final fight and feeling that I was watching something real, screaming and supporting Rocky and feeling happy to see him again be champion and not only at that moment, to this day I still support Rocky, in the other stories, well not in Rocky V because it is the one I like the least, but in the others and even in the first two CREED movies where we see that this character is completely unique, in his victories and defeats both in the ring and in life itself.
