"In the Name of the Father" | It: Welcome to Derry - Episode Review [ES - EN]

El sexto episodio de "It: Welcome to Derry" no es más que un abre boca para el desenlace de esta historia; el preámbulo de una tragedia influenciada por el gran poder de Eso, quien desde hace un tiempo ideó un plan (posiblemente) perfecto para cerrar con un clímax de terror su temporada de recolección de alimentos. En este episodio, el cual recibió el nombre "In the Name of the Father" es notorio que la imagen del padre es la base o lo que motiva a muchas de las acciones que ocurren en el episodio; algo que no es un secreto por todo lo que ha sucedido en los anteriores cinco, en donde tiene como tema relevante la influencia de la imagen del padre, pero es en este donde se toma mucha relevancia, ya que de manera directa las acciones de los padres de muchos de los personajes motivarán a que ocurran ciertos hechos que llevarán a lo que seguramente sea un desenlace desgarrador.

The sixth episode of "It: Welcome to Derry" is nothing more than a teaser for the dénouement of this story; the prelude to a tragedy influenced by the great power of It, who some time ago devised a (possibly) perfect plan to end its season of gathering food with a climax of terror. In this episode, titled "In the Name of the Father," it is clear that the image of the father is the basis or motivation for many of the actions that occur in the episode; something that is no secret given everything that has happened in the previous five episodes, where the influence of the father figure is a relevant theme, but it is in this episode that it takes on great relevance, since the actions of the fathers of many of the characters will directly motivate certain events that will lead to what is sure to be a heartbreaking outcome.

Siendo completamente sincero, en mi opinión este fue un episodio flojo y en donde solo puedo destacar primeramente la vida trágica de Lilly con los temores a los que debe enfrentar y, segundo, es la relación que nace entre los personajes de Rich y Marge; justamente esa relación es lo que me ha gustado y a la vez consideré como algo no tan bueno a causa de lo predecible que se convirtió esta parte de la serie y justamente esa característica es lo que me hizo pensar en lo flojo del episodio, donde tan solo funciona como un puente para los sucesos relevantes a suceder en el penúltimo episodio a estrenarse el próximo domingo.

To be completely honest, in my opinion this was a weak episode, and I can only highlight, first, Lilly's tragic life with the fears she must face and, second, the relationship that develops between the characters Rich and Marge. It is precisely this relationship that I liked and, at the same time, considered not so good because of how predictable this part of the series became, and it is precisely this characteristic that made me think the episode was weak, serving only as a bridge to the relevant events that will take place in the penultimate episode to be released next Sunday.

Ya que hubo pocas cosas que destacar, creo que de igual manera hacen que el sexto episodio muestre relevancia más que nada para lo que seguramente sea las próximas temporadas, en especial la última en dónde veamos el origen de como Eso tomó la imagen de Pennywise; justamente ese hecho en dónde un padre influencia la vida de sus hijos es lo que más me ha gustado en el episodio; las actuaciones de los hijos siendo sobreprotectores con sus padres y amigos, es un reflejo de los traumas del pasado y del presente los cuales les hacen actuar de una manera malvada o errada, lo cual como es previsto, está alejado de hacer un bien lo cual es sumamente difícil porque el poder de Eso influye de manera poderosa y su control es muy difícil de romper.

Since there were few things to highlight, I think that the sixth episode is still relevant, especially for what will surely be the next seasons, particularly the last one, where we will see the origin of how It took on the image of Pennywise. It is precisely this fact, where a father influences the lives of his children, that I liked most about the episode. The children's behavior, being overprotective of their parents and friends, is a reflection of past and present traumas that cause them to act in an evil or wrong way, which, as expected, is far from doing good, which is extremely difficult because the power of It influences them powerfully and its control is very difficult to break.

Los clichés también son parte de esta historia como por ejemplo la división del grupo; nuevamente el poder de Eso infuye a que la unión entre estos jóvenes y valientes amigos se rompe por las necesidades de así como dije anteriormente, el proteger a sus seres queridos; en eso también la influencia de la imagen del padre influye en tres de los cinco integrantes de este Grupo de Perderores de los 60', una desunión necesaria para dar protagonismo a quien lo necesita y ese justamente es "Richi", un héroe, uno de los mejores personajes desde su aparición hasta este episodio, es ese amigo necesario para romper todo paradigma impuesto por la sociedad aunque al igual de sus compañeros, la necesidad de ser protector siempre está presente y eso le hace experimentar momentos felices en un lugar donde la maldad siempre acecha.

He is that friend who is necessary to break all the paradigms imposed by society, although, like his companions, the need to be protective is always present, and that makes him experience happy moments in a place where evil always lurks.

De verdad que este episodio me decepcionó un poco, aunque debo señalar que sí presenta momentos más que correctos, escenas muy bien filmadas e interpretadas, en especial las que comparten los personajes de Lilly e Ingrid, como dije, relatos importantes para lo que será seguramente la tercera y última temporada de la serie enfocada en el personaje de "Bob Gray/Pennywise"; toda esa interacción fue certera, fue terrorífica y en donde también está presente la influencia de un padre sobre su hija. Esperemos que el próximo episodio, que lamentablemente está afectado por un hecho predecible, por lo menos tenga más intensidad; creo que al resolver muchos cabos sueltos, la responsabilidad estará en demostrar un hecho terrorífico, influenciado por un ente maligno, aunque también hay que decir que tiene mucho de realidad. Creo que es hora de desatar nuevamente el terror en esta serie y generar impacto, así como ocurrió en el primer episodio, y prepararnos para lo que espero sea un gran desenlace de la primera temporada.

I was honestly a little disappointed by this episode, although I must point out that it does have some very good moments, with scenes that are well filmed and acted, especially those featuring the characters Lilly and Ingrid. As I said, these are important stories for what will surely be the third and final season of the series focused on the character of "Bob Gray/Pennywise." all that interaction was accurate, terrifying, and also showed the influence of a father on his daughter. Let's hope that the next episode, which unfortunately is affected by a predictable event, at least has more intensity; I think that by resolving many loose ends, the responsibility will be to demonstrate a terrifying event, influenced by an evil entity, although it must also be said that it has a lot of reality to it. I think it's time to unleash the terror in this series again and make an impact, just like in the first episode, and prepare ourselves for what I hope will be a great ending to the first season.
