"Do you want to know your future?"

El tercer episodio llamado "Années Folles" que se puede traducir como "Años Locos" es una clara referencia a muchos sucesos importantes en esta nueva historia de la serie, una de esas referencias al tiempo que tuvo Bernard en "The Sublime"; justamente a primer momento esto era lo más importante en el episodio, el esperado regreso de Bernard y es que no había duda que este era el personaje esperado por todo los fans de esta serie porque después del tiempo que él estuvo en The Sublime seguramente traería respuestas para salvar al mundo; ahora sé que en primer momento no se revelará muchas cosas sobre lo que aprendió en el llamado "Paraíso de los Hosts", pero en los flashes de varias imágenes nos muestran en que se convertirá (o se convirtió) el mundo si el plan de Bernard no funciona; es por eso que en esta 4.ª temporada tenemos a dos planes, una para el control del mundo ideado por Hale y otro plan para alabarlo que llevará a cabo Bernard y entre estos planes están atrapados los demás personajes como son The Men in Black, Maeve, Caleb y Christina que estuvo ausente en esta gran episodio.

The third episode called "Années Folles" which can be translated as "Crazy Years" is a clear reference to many important events in this new story of the series, one of those references to the time that Bernard had in "The Sublime"; precisely at the first moment this was the most important thing in the episode, the expected return of Bernard and there was no doubt that this was the character expected by all the fans of this series because after the time he was in The Sublime he would surely bring answers to save the world; Now I know that at first not much will be revealed about what he learned in the so-called "Hosts Paradise", but in the flashes of several images show us what will become (or became) the world if Bernard's plan does not work; that's why in this 4th. That is why in this 4th season we have two plans, one for the control of the world devised by Hale and another plan to praise him that Bernard will carry out and between these plans are trapped the other characters such as The Men in Black, Maeve, Caleb and Christina who was absent in this great episode.

Lo segundo más celebrado por los fans aparte del regreso de Bernard es la supuesta confirmación de la existencia de diferentes líneas del tiempo; siendo sincero creo que muchas escenas en los dos episodios anteriores demuestran que varios de los sucesos han ocurrido en diferentes momentos en el tiempo, por ejemplo la "negociación" de William con el Cártel o la conversación que tiene el mismo William con el vicepresidente de los EE. UU., las que por supuesto ocurrieron antes (mucho antes) de la apertura del nuevo parque y a esto se anexa las incógnitas del lugar y el tiempo donde se desarrollan las historias de Christina y Bernard y entre estos dos importantes sucesos está una historia más inmediata como la de Maeve, Caleb, Uwade y Frankie quien levanto una gran teoría que posiblemente confirma junto a Bernard de que este personaje apareció en el futuro, uno en dónde el mundo parece que ha caído por completo, pero en dónde existe el temor de que la esperanza para sobrevivir cree una definitiva destrucción y es que esa es la advertencia que hace "Akecheta" a Bernard dentro de Sublime en una escena que recuerda mucho a la vista en "Matrix Reload" en la reunión entre Neo y "El Arquitecto", en esa escena a Neo se le muestra sus otras vidas y su fin destinado que reinicia toda una guerra sin sentido, pero también se le da la posibilidad de cambiar no su destino sino el de los demás y creo que eso es lo que sucede en esa escena que da comienzo a este tercer pisodio; Akecheta le regala a Bernard diferentes versiones del futuro del mundo y está en él saber cuál elegir para ayudar a la humanidad con el uso de una arma que se encuentra enterrada en el desierto; esta ventaja en lo que parece ser una guerra entre Humanos y Hosts, no es definitiva por los diferentes sucesos que se deberán activar para que Bernard tenga un pleno conocimiento de que arma encontrará y eso es lo que creo que será una gran revelación en esta historia; personalmente tengo varias opciones, una es Maeve, otra es Caleb y no puedo dejar de nombrar a Christina y al mismo William, para mí entre ellos cuatro está el arma que podrá salvar o destruir al mundo.

The second most celebrated thing by the fans apart from the return of Bernard is the supposed confirmation of the existence of different timelines; being honest I think that many scenes in the two previous episodes show that several of the events have occurred at different moments in time, for example William's "negotiation" with the Cartel or the conversation that William himself has with the Vice President of the USA, which of course occurred before (long before) the opening of the new park and to this is added the unknowns of the place and time where the stories of Christina and Bernard are developed and between these two important events is a more immediate story as that of Maeve, Caleb, Uwade and Frankie who raised a great theory that possibly confirms with Bernard that this character appeared in the future, one where the world seems to have fallen completely, but where there is the fear that the hope to survive creates a definitive destruction and that is the warning that "Akecheta" makes to Bernard inside Sublime in a scene that reminds a lot to the one seen in "Matrix Reload" in the meeting between Neo and "The Architect", in that scene Neo is shown his other lives and his destined end that restarts a senseless war, but he is also given the possibility to change not his destiny but the others' and I believe that is what happens in that scene that begins this third episode; Akecheta gives Bernard different versions of the future of the world and it is in him to know which one to choose to help humanity with the use of a weapon that is buried in the desert; this advantage in what seems to be a war between Humans and Hosts, is not definitive because of the different events that will have to be activated for Bernard to have a full knowledge of what weapon he will find and that is what I think will be a big revelation in this story; Personally I have several options, one is Maeve, another is Caleb and I can not fail to name Christina and William himself, for me between them four is the weapon that can save or destroy the world.

Sé que muchos pensaran o se preguntarán que poder o importancia tiene Caleb en esta historia; en la temporada pasada Dolores lo eligió para liderar la revolución de los humanos sobre la opresión creada por Rehoboam, recordemos que este personaje fue uno de los que eran considerados como una amenaza y que fue reacondicionado gracias a una terapia para regresar a la sociedad; Caleb se volvió un ser dócil con recuerdos no suyos, todos creados por Rehoboam para poder ser manejado y así cumplir un destino fatídico que no cambiará para nada la historia de la humanidad, pero justamente por ser un éxito en un macabro plan de dominar al mundo, pienso que Dolores le dio la oportunidad para que pueda cambiar su destino y el de todos aunque en una historia no relatada en su totalidad, la revolución no fue lo que esperaba Dolores y él, pero justamente al ser un éxito en el reacondicionamiento, creo que es lo que le falta a Hale para que la infección causada por las moscas; justamente esta vía de control a los humanos era algo que siempre ha sucedido en esta historia porque las moscas no es algo nuevo, ya que siempre han aparecido en la serie, más que nada en la primera y segunda temporada y recordemos que el impacto en el primer episodio fue al ver a Dolores matar a una de estas moscas que siempre perseguían a los Host en el parque y más cuando eran cadáveres los cuales causaban una infección, esto me hace pensar que estos insectos siempre han funcionado como una vía de control, antes para los Host cómo ahora para los humanos y que justamente esa escena de Dolores matando a una mosca es una gran imagen del fin de ese control.

I know that many will think or wonder what power or importance Caleb has in this story; last season Dolores chose him to lead the revolution of humans over the oppression created by Rehoboam, remember that this character was one of those who were considered a threat and was reconditioned thanks to a therapy to return to society; Caleb became a docile being with memories not his own, all created by Rehoboam in order to be managed and thus fulfill a fateful destiny that will not change the history of humanity at all, but precisely for being a success in a macabre plan to dominate the world, I think Dolores gave him the opportunity to change his destiny and that of all, although in a story not told in its entirety, the revolution was not what Dolores and he expected, but precisely by being a success in the reconditioning, I think it is what Hale lacks for the infection caused by the flies; precisely this way of control to the humans was something that has always happened in this story because the flies is not something new, since they have always appeared in the series, more than anything in the first and second season and remember that the impact in the first episode was to see Dolores kill one of these flies that always chased the Host in the park and more when they were corpses which caused an infection, This makes me think that these insects have always worked as a way of control, before for the Host and now for humans and that just that scene of Dolores killing a fly is a great image of the end of that control.

En la publicación anterior hablé sobre lo directo y rápido del segundo episodio y de los muchos detalles que tiene; ahora este 3er episodio no está lejos de esa descripción, pero el factor de Bernard en vez de clarificar la historia pienso que la complica y no hago referencia a que le haga daño, lo que quiero decir es que le da un nuevo nivel o como han repetido al estreno de cada episodio "se regresó a los orígenes". En lo personal esperaba este tipo de episodio porque sí, tiene lo que se había visto en las dos primeras temporadas y hace que se termine esa sensación de entender lo que sucede en esta temporada, aunque sigo manteniendo de que la historia no es difícil de entender y que lo que resta del relato debe ser mejor. "Années Folles" supera al anterior episodio en muchas cosas, en especial en ese humor que pude notar al hacer referencia de William como Walt Disney, pero al hacer referencia de lo sucedido en el otro parque, lo flojo a repetir narrativas y tener versiones de muy bajo nivel de los personajes principales fue algo muy "meta" por parte de los guionistas, también algo muy cómico y lo mejor es que fue muy bien recibido por todos los fans. No tengo duda de que este episodio es un gran paso adelante en la historia de esta 4.ª temporada porque suma un gran suspenso sobre cómo será la resolución y que plan será el que termine siendo victorioso.

In the previous publication I talked about how direct and fast the second episode was and the many details it has; now this 3rd episode is not far from that description, but the Bernard factor instead of clarifying the story I think it complicates it and I don't mean that it hurts it, what I mean is that it gives it a new level or as they have repeated at the premiere of each episode "it went back to the origins". Personally I expected this kind of episode because yes, it has what had been seen in the first two seasons and makes that feeling of understanding what happens in this season is over, although I still maintain that the story is not difficult to understand and that the rest of the story should be better. "Années Folles" surpasses the previous episode in many things, especially in that humor that I could notice when making reference to William as Walt Disney, but when making reference to what happened in the other park, the lazy to repeat narratives and having very low level versions of the main characters was something very "meta" by the scriptwriters, also something very comical and the best thing is that it was very well received by all the fans. I have no doubt that this episode is a great step forward in the story of this 4th season because it adds a great suspense about how the resolution will be and which plan will be the one that will end up being victorious.
