We go for pumpkins./Ми йдемо по гарбузи. (EN/UA)

Hi to all. Today my walk takes me back to my village. In my previous posts, I told how I harvested the harvest from the garden. Probably out of habit, I go to my house in the village.

My neighbor asked if I wanted a pumpkin. I was relieved because my pumpkins didn't grow. That is, they bloomed in the summer, grew and grew to the size of an adult's fist. For me, this vegetable is extremely important in my diet. Then I followed my kind neighbor into the garden.

On the way to the vegetable garden during a walk, my neighbor calmly told the news that happened in the village. So much has actually happened in the past few weeks. What I liked most was that my neighbor met her brother and took him to the train. She showed me many photos on her phone and told me with delight that she went to the city on her business and there she met her sister and brother, who were waiting for the train. Her brother was returning to the war. "How good that they met," I thought. Yesterday, a young 24-year-old military man who was a drone operator was buried in a nearby village. The only monument in the village, which was dedicated to the dead fellow villagers during the Second World War, was taken away and now the place is a wasteland.

Finally, we came to the vegetable garden, where mountains of orange pumpkins spread out. My neighbor and I exchanged recipes for cooking pumpkin dishes. I like to cook pumpkin with meat dishes, I like candied pumpkin and many people prepare milk-pumpkin porridge. This is an incredibly tasty vegetable. And the pumpkins look beautiful in the photos.

The town we were going to is located on a high mountain and under direct sunlight. View from this place to a large lake. Now I see that the water in the lake has been drained by an enterprise that breeds fish in it. I could feel the fresh air and from afar I could hear the crowing of village roosters.

I called my son to meet me and help carry the pumpkins. Then I chose two medium-sized pumpkins. My neighbor said that this is a very tasty variety of pumpkin from Italian seeds. She already had to go to work, so we said goodbye. Maybe I will save the seeds from these beautiful pumpkins and plant them in my farm next year.

The pumpkins turned out to be quite heavy, so I was very glad that Maksym came to my aid. He took the pumpkin by the tail and slowly carried it to our house. We discussed with my son what we would do with them.

Thank you for your attention and visit. Today is a walk with benefits. I recommend eating pumpkins, cooking them and you will be healthy and beautiful.
See you in my next posts.

It is always good to return to our home in the village dear friend @nadin-zakrevska.
It is a shame that the pumpkins on your plants have not developed, how kind your neighbor was to share her harvest with you.
Great that they exchanged ways of cooking her pumpkins, very kind of them
What a beautiful place, and what beautiful photographs they took, I appreciate you sharing it with all of us.
have a great day
Thank you for your comment. I am very glad that I have such a wonderful neighbor. The scenery in my village is already quite sad. Late autumn seems quite vague to me. It is always important for me when people are distinguished by their kindness and pleasant communication.
Invigorating walk seeing your neighbourhood, you both look well, healthy coping with life!

Thank you. Yes, physically I am fine, mentally it is more difficult for me. That's why I'm happy for every good day.
Mental strain many are battling of late, yet few talk about it. Being out for a day with you son in familiar surroundings looked a great way to enjoy the day.
Thank you for your understanding.
looks such a nice and quite village, a pity your pumpkins didnt grow but nice of your neighbour to give you some
Thanks for joining the Wednesday Walk :)
My neighbor feeds the cow with pumpkins. I watched it once with my son. It was amazing. The whole pumpkin disappeared in a matter of minutes. I even laughed then that the cow would have pumpkin milk;) Neighbors have a lot of pumpkins, but they don't have a special place to store them, and after the onset of frost, they can rot. I'm glad you enjoyed my walk. thank you
LOL at pumpkin milk I always joke of cows eat green grass why is the milk white
