Hi to all! I didn't want to go anywhere today. So, in general, not to leave the house anywhere all day. But there is what I want, and what I must do always prevails, because no one will do it except me. In the morning, she took Maksym to a combat hopak club. I ran to the station bazaar to buy eggs. I always buy farm eggs from my husband there. Now the prices for eggs are very low, 4-5 hryvnias ($1 for 10 pcs.) Then I went to the gym, where I ran, jumped and somehow got into a rhythm, because my training turned out well.
Today I managed to pick up Maxim and his friend from training and I think that's all, now I will rest at home. I quickly made dinner for my son and I just started creating a new Motanka doll.
How his friends call Maxim to go to the playground. And what do I do? I pack up and go again, even though I don't want to at all. And Maksym wants to and I know about it.
Maksym plays very happily with Bohdan and Vladyslav. These are his classmates and he is friends with them. Maxim was glad that they called him.
While the children are running, I went next door to the Cathedral of St. Yura. It is always full of people, tourists, and today it is somehow quite spacious here.

Привіт усім! Я так не хотіла сьогодні кудись іти. От, взагалі весь день нікуди не виходити з дому. Але є те, що я хочу, а переважає завжди те, що я повинна робити, бо ніхто крім мене цього не зробить. Зранку відвела Максима на гурток бойового гопака. Побігла на привокзальний базар купити яєць. Там завжди купляю в чоловіка фермерські. Зараз ціни на яйця дуже низькі 4-5 грн. Потім пішла в спортзал, де я побігала, пострибала і якось увійшла в ритм, бо гарне вийшло тренування в мене.
Сьогодні я встигла забрати Максима і його друга з тренування і думаю от все, тепер я буду вдома відпочивати. Швиденько зробила синові обід і Я тільки почала створювати нову ляльку мотанку.
Як дзвонять Максимові його друзі, щоб йти на дитячий майданчик. І що я роблю? Я знову збираюся і йду, хоча зовсім не хочу. А Максим хоче і я про це знаю.
Максим дуже радісно грається з Богданом і Владиславом. Це його однокласники і він з ними дружить. Максим тішився, що вони його покликали.
Поки діти бігають, то я пішла поряд в собор святого Юри. Він завжди наповнений людьми, туристами, а сьогодні якось зовсім просторово тут.

It is very beautiful here, fresh and peaceful. We are located on St. George's Hill, a few years ago the square in front of the entrance to the cathedral was restored and a monument to the genius Andrii Sheptytskyi was erected here.

Гарно тут дуже, свіжо і мирно. Ми знаходимося на святоюрській горі, кілька років тому тут відновили площу перед входом в собор і поставили пам'ятник геніальному Андрію Шептицькому.

St. George's Cathedral is the grandest in Lviv. This is the Greek Catholic Church. My Maxim will receive Holy Communion here in June. And today I want to examine not as a believer. I have time to consider the art of this building. Today, most of the statues on the facade are hidden behind a thick layer of cushioning material. This is all because of the war in Ukraine.
Back in the 14th century, a wooden church stood on this place. And already in the 18th century, the Cathedral of St. Yura took on the appearance that we can see today.

Собор святого Юри є найвеличнішим у Львові. Це греко-католицька церква. Тут мій Максим в червні прийме святе причастя. А сьогодні я хочу оглянути не як віруюча. Я маю час розглянути мистецтво цієї будівлі. Сьогодні більшість статуй фасаду сховані за щільним шаром амортизуючого матеріалу. Це все через війну в Україні.
Ще в 14 столітті на цьому місці стояла дерев'яна церква. А вже в 18 столітті собор святого Юри набирає вигляду , який ми можемо бачити сьогодні.

St. George overcoming the serpent - the work of the famous John Georg Pinzel. Finally, I can clearly see him, because he is on the very top above the entrance to the temple. Also on the entrance facade of his work are sculptures of Athanasius and the Lion. They are now closed to the public for the same reasons as the other sculptures.

Святий Георгій долає змія- робота рук славетного Йоана Георга Пінзеля. Нарешті я можу чітко роздивитися його, адже, він на самому вершечку над входом в храм. Також на вхідному фасаді його роботи скульптури Атанізія та Лева. Вони зараз закриті для оглядуз тих самих причин, що і інші скульптури.

There is also a legend that a dragon once lived in a cave on this mountain. And King Leo defeated him and ordered to build a temple on this place and name it in honor of Yuri the Snake Wrestler.

А ще існує легенда, що колись на цій горі жив в печері дракон. І король Лев здолав його і наказав побудувати на цьому місці храм і назвати на честь Юрія змієборця.

We can also see such an artificial cave where Saint Onuphrius prays. This sculpture is made of marble, the author is unknown.

Також ми можемо побачити таку штучну печеру, де святий Онуфрій молиться. Ця скульптура виконана з мармуру, автор не відомий.

Opposite the church stands the Metropolitan Palace. An incredibly beautiful coat of arms can be seen on the facade of the building. The building is also decorated with four columns, which add to its majesty. The metropolitan gardens stretched behind, where chamber orchestras and individual classical music performers often host concerts.

Навпроти церкви стоїть митрополичий палац. Неймовірно красивий герб видно на фасаді будинку. Також будівля прикрашена чотирма колонами, які додають їй величності. Позаду простягнулися митрополичу сади, там часто відбуваються концерти камерних оркестрів і окремих виконавців класичної музики.

Internally, I don't like it very much. But the church contains interesting artifacts and an underground crypt, the oldest bell in Ukraine. A copy of the cloth used to cover Jesus Christ during his burial. This is a copy of the Shroud of Turin, which is freely available to anyone

Внутрішньо мені не дуже подобається. Але в церкві присутні цікаві артефакти і підземна крипта, найстаріший дзвін в Україні. Копія полотна,яким укривали при похованні Ісуса Христа. Це копія Туринської плащаниці, яка є вільно доступної для усіх бажаючих.

The clothes in which Ivan Paul II celebrated the liturgy in this church in 2001.

Одяг в якому Іван Павло 2 проводив літургію в цьому храмі в 2001 році.

I suggest you look at the three-meter painting, which is dedicated to Andrii Sheptytskyi, his contemporaries and followers. The author used the technique of lines to convey his idea. Пропоную вам оглянути трьохметрову картину , яка присвячена Андрію Шептицькому , його сучасникам і послідовникам. Автор використав техніку ліній, щоб передати свій задум . Also on display is the miraculous icon of the Mother of God and the Child from Pochaev. There are still many relics of saints. If you are a deeply religious person, then it will be important for you to visit this cathedral.

Також виставлено для огляду чудотворну ікону матері божої і дитини з Почаєва. Є ще багато мощів святих. Якщо ви глибоковіруюча людина, то вам буде важливо відвідати цей собор.

The following inscription was interesting to me. The prayer "Our Father" in Aramaic, Jesus Christ once spoke. Sounds a bit like Jewish Hebrew to me. It would be interesting to hear how this prayer sounds in this language. Maybe one day there will be such a code, by scanning which you can find out interesting information about each artifact, and in this case hear the sound of a prayer.

Цікавим для мене виявився такий надпис. Молитва "Отче наш" арамейською мовою, якось розмовляв Ісус Христос. Трохи мені схоже на єврейський іврит. Цікаво б було почути як ця молитва звучить цією мовою. Може колись буде такий код, відскановуючи який можна дізнатися про кожний артефакт цікаву інформацію, а в даному випадку почути звучання молитви.

From the outside, everything remained bright and carefree. I still feel that the premises of this church are too stingy and dim. Although here and there, it is nicely plastered with gilding.

Ззовні все залишилося яскравим і безтурботний. Я все таки відчуваю , що приміщення цієї церкви надто скупе і тьмяне. Хоча де-не-де добряче наліплено позолотою.

The children continued to play nicely and ride their vehicles in the square. Bohdan took turns riding his bicycle, and his dad bought everyone water. It was a nice walk, although I really wanted to go home.

Діти продовжували гарно гратися і кататися на своєму транспорті на площі. Богдан по черзі давав кататися на своєму велосипеді, а його тато купив всім воду. Це була гарна прогулянка, хоч я дуже хотіла додому.

Magnolia is already in the epicenter of its flowering. It's good that I decided to go, that I used the time to my advantage and have something interesting to write for you.

Магнолія вже в епіцентрі свого цвітіння. Гарно, що я вирішила піти, що я використала час на свою користь і маю що вам цікавого написати.
