Hello to all travel lovers. It so happened that I was forced to leave my favorite Lviv and go to the neighboring country of Poland. In my country, Ukraine is at war and the threat of a nuclear explosion. So I took all the necessary things and my son, and went on a long journey. It was risky for me. But I decided to take everything as a great journey. I lived in the car for a few days until I reached the border. And the first big city I came to was Przemyśl. At the station, a volunteer found us a house to spend the night. These were very good people. Chris and Dorothy lived in their own home with Dorothy's two children and parents. They gave me a room to rest, have dinner, wash and change. I am very grateful to them for their care. The next morning, Dorothy's dad drove me to town so I could buy seven cards for the phone to chat and have internet. Because my mother and close friends were worried if I was okay. By the way, I told this senior gentleman that I love listening to the history of cities, that this city is extremely beautiful and ancient. And the most important thing is that Przemyśl is extremely similar to my beloved Lviv. Some houses look like twins on Lviv townhouses. I was happy and thought I could live here. And what I want to see more here. And this gentleman brought me in his car to see Przemyśl.

Привіт усім любителям подорожей. Так сталося, що я змушена була покинути свій улюблений Львів і поїхати в сусідню країну Польщу. В моїй країні Україна війна і загроза атомного вибуху. Тому я взяла всі необхідні речі і сина, і вирушила в довгу дорогу. Це було ризиковано для мене. Але я вирішила все сприймати як велику подорож. Кілька днів я жила в автомобілі, поки я добралася до кордону. І перше велике місто в яке я приїхала було якраз Перемишль. В пункті на вокзалі волонтер знайшов нам дім для ночівлі. Це були дуже добрі люди. Кріс і Дорота жили в власному будинку з двома дітьми і батьками Дороти. Вони надали мені кімнату для відпочинку, вечерю, помитися і переодітися. Я дуже вдячна їм за їхню турботу. Наступного ранку Дороти тато повіз мене в місто, щоб я придбала сім карту для телефона, щоб спілкуватися і мати інтернет. Бо моя мама і найближчі друзі хвилювалися, чи все в мене добре. Дорогою я цьому старшому панові розповіла, що люблю слухати історію міст, що це місто є надзвичайно красиве і старовинне. І саме основне, що Перемишль надзвичайно схожий на мій коханий Львів. Деякі будинки схожі як близнюки на львівські кам'яниці. Я раділа і подумала, що змогла б тут жити. І що я хочу більше побачити тут. А цей пан мене привіз на своєму автомобілі побачити Перемишль.

Mr. Pole took me along the embankment of Marshal Józef Pilsutski. On one side of the street were beautifully decorated old houses. On the other river San. Here in this house I saw the coat of arms of Przemyśl. This is a black bear on a blue background. The bear symbolizes nobility and chivalrous power. I know from the history of the city that it is an ancient Ukrainian city. Maybe that's why there are so many similarities with my Lviv. The architecture of the houses has a similar Austrian style. Apparently these houses were built at the same time, and maybe even the same architects.

Пан поляк віз мене набережною маршара Юзефа Пілсуцького. З одного боку вулиці були красиво оздоблені старовинні будинки. З іншого річка Сан. Ось на цьому будинку я побачила герб Перемишля. Це чорний ведмідь на синьому тлі. Ведмідь символізує шляхетність і лицарську міць. За історією міста мені відома, що це є стародавнє українське місто. Можливо тому тут так багато схожого з моїм Львовом. Архітектура будинків має такий подібний австрійський стиль. Мабуть ці будинки будували в один час, а можливо навіть ті ж архітектори.

From the car I can see the top of the Latin Cathedral built in 1460. Mr. Joseph drove me to the oldest part of the city. He told me on the way that he needed a few days to fully tell and show everything in Przemyśl. He was very pleased with my interest in the history and architecture of his ancient city.

З автомобіля я можу побачити верхівку Латинського собору 1460 року будівництва. Пан Йозеф привіз мене на автомобілі в саму древню частину міста. Він дорогою мені розповів, що йому потрібно кілька днів, щоб повністю розповісти і показати все в Перемишлі. Його дуже тішила моя цікавість до історії і архітектури його старовинного міста.

On the map of the city I could see that the city is divided by the river San. From one bank of the river remains the ancient part of the city. On the other hand, the modern part of the city with modern buildings, shopping malls, high-rises. I am convinced again that the cities where there is a river in the city are extremely beautiful. This is because the river is the decoration of the city, with bridges, wild ducks and geese that live on the banks of the river.

На карті міста я змогла побачити, що місто розділене річкою Сан. З одного берега річки залишається старовинна частина міста. З іншого сучасна частина міста з сучасними будівлями, торговими центрами, багатоповерхівками. Я знову впевнююся в тому, що міста в яких в місті є річка- надзвичайно красиві. Це тому, що річка є прикрасою міста, з мостами, з дикими качками і гусями, які живуть на берегах річки.

Mr. Joseph brought me to the mountain, he left his car in the large parking lot and we walked on. This is the oldest part of the city with a thousand-year history. I saw a beautiful castle on the mountain, and around the observation decks to the city. There were no people. Only us. The castle was closed because the Fredram Theater is located here. And there are certain hours when you can go to the castle in the middle. But from the outside I could see these strong walls of the old fortress. These walls were not affected by time. I told Mr. Joseph if he could imagine that we were now walking on the authentic road that the kings rode in their carriages. And he just smiled and offered to approach the gates of the Castle.

Пан Йозеф привіз мене на гору, на великій паркувальній площі він залишив свою машину і далі ми пішли пішки. Це найстаріша частина міста з тисячолітньою історією. Я побачила красивий замок на горі, а навколо оглядові майданчики на місто. Людей нікого не було. Тільки ми. Замок був зачинений, тому що тут діє театр Фредрейм. І є певні години, коли в замок можна зайти в середину. Але і ззовні я змогла побачити ці міцні стіни старої фортеці. На ці стіни час не вплинув. Я сказала панові Йозефу, чи він може уявити, що ми зараз ходимо по автентичній дорозі, по якій їздили королі в своїх каретах. А він тільки посміхався і запропонував наблизитися до брами Замку.

Here I saw the laying of stones and cement. This castle has been rebuilt many times and is now being strengthened to save our descendants. But you can see what power it is. Such a wall will stand for many centuries. I was able to touch these cold walls. And listen to the silence. Castles have many stories and secrets. Now there are many opportunities to recreate the events of that time. And maybe I'll come back here to see more.

Ось я побачила кладку каменів і цементу. Цей замок багато разів перебудовувася і зараз укріплюється для збередення нашим нащадкам. Але ви можете побачити, яка це міць. Така стіна стоятиме ще багато віків. Я змогла доторкнутися до цих холодних мурів. І прислухатися до тиші. Замки мають багато історій і секретів. Зараз є багато можливостей, щоб відтворити тодішні події. І можливо я повернуся сюди, щоб побачити більше.

It reads: Short history of Kazemirsky Castle in Przemyśl.
The oldest castle of architecture in Przemyśl is on the castle hill. The relics of the palace and rotunda were erected in the first quarter of the 11th century. It impresses with its forms. It functions as a residence of power. Excavations of the castle suggest that in the middle of the 12th century the church of St. John was built. It was replaced by a church in 1460. Although there are remnants of the church. There were ancient walls on the Castle Hill before Casimir. Casimir the Great, returning the land of Przemyśl in 1348, ordered to build a castle on the site of the fortress. Since his time, a part of the brick curtain with a sharply arched gate and the northern corner of the perimeter of the walls and the foundations of the northern curtain have been preserved. The eastern castle was burnt down in 1415 by the Vlachs. Its modernization was carried out by order of Sigismund the Old. In 1514-1553, the head of Przemyśl, Piotr Kmite, the whole building consisted of two parts of the main castle and the lower one, connected by a wooden bridge across the moat. The plans for the modernization of the main castle are based on the surroundings of the medieval castle. It had the shape of a protective structure around a quadrangular courtyard, consisting of the cubature of the object, curtains with wooden porches, fences at the corners had bars / three cylindrical, southern corners with loopholes.
There was a two-way entrance gate in the north-western curtain. The castle had additional protection in the form of background and surrounding shafts.
The lower castle was located from the entrance to the upper castle and was surrounded by wooden tin with two towers and a gate. His outbuildings and apartments for servants.
Przemyśl Castle was the first bastion fortification in south-eastern Poland. He became a model for large military buildings that were built in this area in the mid-16th century.
The next modernization was carried out in 1412-1433. In March, Krasytsky then built attics on both narrow and raised towers.
In 1759-1762 the south-western part of the castle was demolished. The building was repeatedly reconstructed and preserved in the 19th and 20th years, now the restored castle is an institute of culture. since 1953 the residence of the Drama Society named after Ol. Fredro "Fredreum".
The next reconstruction of the castle took place in the 1980s. the rest of the folklore and the event were reconstructed then, together with the curtain in the courtyard that connected them, revealed the ideas of Yrzhedkovan buildings.
The host institution is the Center for Culture and Science in Przemyśl. The institution is implemented
in 2005 the industry was adopted.
from 11.07.2011 to the end of December 2012 the last works on the reconstruction and revitalization of the castle buildings and the reorganization of the auditorium continued.

My companion told me that the castle is very strong. And when the Tatars came and could not enter the middle and open the entrance gate, they carved stones with swords. You can see in my photos how much the Tatars wanted to enter the middle of the castle.

Near the castle is the building of the Latin Catholic Seminary, as well as the Church of St. Mary Magdalene and the Franciscan Monastery. Then we went down the car from the mountain narrow streets lined with ancient cobblestones.

Біля замку розташавана будівля Латинської католицької семінарії, а також костел святої Марії Магдалини і монастир францисканців. Далі ми спускалися на автомобілі з гори вузенькими вуличками виклаленими старовинною бруківкою.

Mr. Joseph took me to another hill in his city. Here is a ski resort for fans of skiing. There are four routes for descent, easy and more difficult descents. Therefore, experienced athletes, beginners and children can practice here. The moment I came here, it was closed. The ski resort is open on weekends. And many people are happy to enjoy this entertainment in their place, as well as visiting guests.

Пан Йозеф завіз мене ще на інший пагорб в своєму місті. Тут знаходиться гірськолижний курорт для прихильників лижного спорту. Є чотири маршрути для спуску , легкі і склатніші спуски. Тому тут можуть практикуватися і досвідчені спортсмени, і початківці, діти. В момент, коли я приїхала сюди, то було зачинено. Гірськолижний курорт працює на вікенд. І багато людей з радістю користуюються цією розвагою в своєму місці, а також приїзджають гості.

There are large Austrian shelters in the middle of these embankments, my companion told me. But they cannot be opened, because they are very deep and do not have the opportunity to do so yet.

В цих насипах в середині є великі австрійські укриття, сказав мені мій супутник. Але їх не можуть відчинити, бо вони дуже глибоко і поки що не має можливості цим зайнятися.

This memorial was erected in honor of the visit of Pope John Paul II to Przemyśl in 1991 and in connection with the celebration of the millennium of the Baptism of Kievan Rus in 1988.

From this mountain, Mr. Joseph showed me his apartment. I also had a beautiful view of the city.

I'm really glad that I was able to see at least a part of this ancient city in one hour. There is nothing reminiscent of the fact that it was a Ukrainian city. When Przemyśl became part of Poland after the Second World War, Ukrainian people were deported to Ukraine. No one will now say whether this was the right decision. This city went through many periods: the Middle Ages, Kievan Rus, Polish, Austrian, Ukrainian, Soviet power and only then in the postwar period returned to the Polish Republic. In fact, I did not expect to see numerous architectural structures, historical monuments on the streets of Przemyśl. Thank you for your attention and reading this post. See you in my next travels.

Я справді радію, що змогла за одну годину огледіти хоч частку цього старовинного міста. Про те, що це було українське місто вде нічого не нагадує. Коли після другої світової війни Перемишль відійшов до складу Польщі, людей-українців вивезли на територію України. Ніхто тепер не скаже чи це було правильним рішенням. Це місто перейшло багато періодів: Середньовіччя, Київської Русі, Польської, Австрійської, Української, Радянської влади і аж тоді в післявоєнний час повернуто до складу Польської Республіки.
