Hola amigos de la comunidad de HiveArte, me alegra mucho poder estar de nuevo por aquí, espero que se encuentren muy bien. Ya comenzó el último mes del año y con el, viene cargado de canciones, comidas, recuerdos y deseos por cumplir. Tenía pensado hacer un dibujo desde hace mucho tiempo pero a veces por sentir que no saldrá como esperaba entonces lo dejo pasar. Quise hacer un dibujo que pudiera ser referente al mes de Diciembre, en el que pudiera dibujar y pintar sin presión y que les pudiera también compartir el proceso para que se animen a dibujar, es algo que ayudar a concentrarse y a dejar ir emociones que son una carga para nuestra mente y cuerpo.

Hello friends of the HiveArte community, I am very happy to be back here, I hope you are all doing well. The last month of the year has begun and with it comes a wealth of songs, food, memories and wishes to fulfil. I had been thinking about doing a drawing for a long time, but sometimes I feel that it won't turn out as I expected, so I let it go. I wanted to make a drawing that could be related to the month of December, one that I could draw and paint without pressure and that I could also share with you so that you would be encouraged to draw. It's something that helps you concentrate and let go of emotions that are a burden on your mind and body.

No sabía con exactitud que quería hacer de dibujo, pensé en hacer un dibujo de Jack del Extraño mundo de Jack pero, pensé que sería algo que ya había hecho entonces me quise arriesgar a inspirarme con una de las cosas que no puede faltar en invierno y en tiempos de navidad como lo es el muñeco de nieve. Utilice una hoja reciclada para hacer el dibujo, comencé con la forma del muñeco, le agregué un gorro y una bufanda para que se viera más bonito. Mi parte favorita es poder hacer el trazo a lápiz porque siento que se me da mejor hacerlo a lapiz que a color o con pintura y marcadores.

I didn't know exactly what I wanted to draw, I thought about drawing Jack from The Nightmare Before Christmas, but I thought that was something I had already done, so I decided to take a risk and get inspiration from one of the things that is a must in winter and at Christmas time: the snowman. I used a recycled sheet of paper to do the drawing. I started with the shape of the snowman and added a hat and scarf to make it look nicer. My favourite part is being able to do the pencil sketch because I feel like I'm better at doing that than colouring or using paint and markers.

Después de tener la idea ya plasmada en el papel, empecé a considerar pintarlo con una temperas que tengo pero me pareció que sería más complicado por lo que opté por usar colores para pintarlo. Primero pinte la parte de la cara, luego hice énfasis en la parte de la bufanda y del rostro. La mirada era muy importante y también que se viera tierno, aunque siento que al comienzo se veía algo malvado jaja. Pinte de forma suave en el rostro y en el cuerpo porque no se me da bien colorear y no quería que se dañara lo que ya tenía listo y todo el proceso del dibujo.

After putting the idea down on paper, I started to consider painting it with the tempera paints I have, but I thought it would be more complicated, so I decided to use coloured pencils instead. First, I painted the face, then I emphasised the scarf and the face. The look was very important, and I also wanted it to look cute, although I feel like it looked a bit evil at first, haha. I painted softly on the face and body because I'm not good at colouring and I didn't want to ruin what I had already done and the whole drawing process.

La bufanda la hice con un poco de tensión porque no sabía cómo darle forma para que se viera más realista, por eso en algunas partes del dibujo se puede notar que está la presencia del lápiz, aunque no afinque tanto cuando hice el boceto si que deje varias líneas de más. Tengo que mejorar eso y aunque tuve varios errores de los que pude ayudarme con el borrador, siento que quedó mejor de lo que había imaginado en mi mente, es un dibujo muy bonito y me dio inspiración para seguir practicando, es una sensación bonita el ver terminado algo que hice con mis manos.

I drew the scarf with a bit of tension because I didn't know how to shape it to make it look more realistic, which is why you can see pencil marks in some parts of the drawing. Although I didn't press down too hard when I did the sketch, I did leave several extra lines. I need to improve on that, and although I made several mistakes that I was able to fix with the eraser, I feel that it turned out better than I had imagined in my mind. It's a very nice drawing and it inspired me to keep practising. It's a nice feeling to see something I made with my own hands finished.

El muñeco de nieve representa recuerdos, infancia, diversión, nostalgia, es una de las cosas que más representa la navidad y que puede también verse en otras épocas del año como el invierno, aquí en mi país no hay invierno pero debe ser muy bonito poder crear desde el principio tu propio muñeco de nieve. El dibujo quedo bonito y se que me dará la inspiración para seguir haciendo más ya sea con temática de este mes tan mágico o con otro tipo de cosas que me gusta dibujar como los rostros. Les deseo un feliz comienzo del último mes del año 💚❤️

The snowman represents memories, childhood, fun, nostalgia; it is one of the things that best represents Christmas and can also be seen at other times of the year, such as winter. Here in my country, we don't have winter, but it must be very nice to be able to create your own snowman from scratch. The drawing turned out beautifully, and I know it will inspire me to continue making more, whether they are themed around this magical month or other things I like to draw, such as faces.
