Today I bring you the final chapter of the “Trilogy of Luck” about the time I was so lucky that I won a sweepstakes without having entered.

I once told you about those moments of good fortune in which I got money on the street. As a marketer I know that money is on the street but when I go out to get it I don't mean getting it that way. I also told you about the time I went to play lottery for my mom not knowing which lottery to buy a ticket in and she ended up winning and teaching an important lesson. Now and to finish, I am going to tell you about the time I won a prize of a year's supply of family oral hygiene products but the amazing thing is that I never participated as such for the prize and now I will tell you the reason why.

It was May 20, 2021, during the pandemic I had plenty of time to look things up on the internet and while checking Instagram I saw a contest on a profile that gives recycling tips. I remember in the post they asked to comment what I was doing to reduce waste, tag two friends and post the post in stories. Of all those requirements I only complied with posting the comment because I've never been much of a fan of Instagram and not much of a fan of contests either.

With how strict those contests are I forgot about that publication and went on with my life and on the 28th of that same month when I was resting I saw the Instagram again I realized I had a notification where I was mentioned and when I checked it said I was the winner and I was quite surprised. So disconnected I was that I asked again what the prize was because I never paid attention to it and the answer was that it was surprise.

I had to wait about 10 more days and when the prize arrived I realized it was two boxes, one contained 12 bottles of mouthwash and the other about 150 units of toothpaste tubes along with 3 toothbrushes. They were all ecological and recyclable products of nice presentation and quality, needless to say that I was very happy because it was a prize that I was not expecting at all.

I have been using these products for almost 3 years now and at this point they are out of mouthwash and toothbrushes, there are only a few units of the toothpaste left. When they run out maybe I will continue to buy those, I haven't really planned on it but it's too early to decide, there are still enough left to worry about it.

I always say that I don't like to depend on luck but when it comes enjoy it because if you win a trip, a car or something better believe me you will celebrate because good luck is like that fleeting smile that life gave you to make you very happy. Another reflection I can make is that regardless of whether it is a contest, a race, a trip, or any other example, do it, take that step, try it and not because you are going to achieve it, you will not know that by taking the first step, what is certain is that you will never achieve anything if you do not try.

Buenos días, buenas tardes y buenas noches amigos de Hive en @dailyblog, espero se encuentren muy bien.

Hoy les traigo el capítulo final de la “Trilogía de la Suerte” sobre la vez que fui tan afortunado que gané un sorteo sin haber participado.

Ya una vez les conté de aquellos momentos de buena fortuna en los cuales conseguí dinero en la calle. Como vendedor sé que el dinero está en la calle pero cuando salgo a buscarlo no me refiero a conseguirlo así. También les conté de la vez que fui a jugar lotería para mi mamá sin saber en cual lotería comprar el boleto y ella terminó ganando y enseñando una importante lección. Ahora y para finalizar, les voy a relatar la vez que gané un premio de una dotación familiar de productos de higiene bucal para un año pero lo increíble es que nunca participé como tal por el premio y ahora les cuento la razón.

Era el 20 de mayo del 2021, durante la pandemia me sobraba el tiempo para buscar cosas en internet y mientras revisaba el Instagram vi un concurso en un perfil que da consejos de reciclaje. Recuerdo que en la publicación solicitaron comentar que hacía para reducir la basura, etiquetar a dos amigos y colocar la publicación en las historias. De todos esos requisitos solo cumplí con poner el comentario porque nunca he sido muy aficionado al Instagram y tampoco muy aficionado a los concursos.

Con lo estrictos que son esos concursos me olvidé de esa publicación y seguí con mi vida y el 28 de ese mismo mes cuando estaba descansando vi el Instagram otra vez me di cuenta que tenía una notificación donde me mencionaban y cuando la revisé decía que era el ganador y quedé bastante sorprendido. Tan desconectado estaba que volví a preguntar cuál era el premio porque nunca le presté atención y la respuesta fue que era sorpresa.

Tuve que esperar unos 10 días más y cuando llegó el premio me di cuenta que eran dos cajas, una contenía 12 botellas de enjuague bucal y la otra como unas 150 unidades de tubos de pasta dental junto con 3 cepillos dentales. Todos eran productos ecológicos y reciclables de agradable presentación y calidad, sobra decir que me alegró mucho porque era un premio que para nada me esperaba.

Llevo casi 3 años usando estos productos y en este momento ya no quedan enjuagues bucales ni cepillos dentales, solo quedan algunas unidades de la pasta dental. Cuando se terminen quizás siga comprando de esas mismas, no me lo he plantado realmente pero es pronto para decidir, aún quedan las suficientes como para preocuparme por eso.

Siempre digo que no me gusta depender de la suerte pero cuando llegue disfruten porque si ganan un viaje, un carro o algo mejor créanme van a celebrar porque la buena suerte ese como esa sonrisa fugaz que la vida te regaló para hacerte muy feliz. Otra reflexión que puedo hacer es que independientemente que sea un concurso, una carrera, un viaje, o cualquier otro ejemplo, pues háganlo, den ese paso, inténtelo y no porque lo vayan a lograr, eso no lo sabrán con dar el primer paso, lo que sí es seguro es que nunca van a lograr nada si no lo intentan.
