Today is what I call my mother's funeral, my sisters called it a celebration of life. I bought this little Angel and drilled a hole in the bottom of it. I put some of Mom's ashes in it, then I took the chainsaw and cut a slab of wood off of the cypress tree that my husband had cut down. I burned MAMA in it and her birth year and death year with the soldering gun. I drilled a hole so the Angel would sit down in it then clued her onto the wood. I am going to set it between my two brothers' graves.
I am upset at my sisters, they made all the decisions with the funeral, they asked me if I had any pictures of Mom that I wanted to be put in the video, I gave them some of Mom's pictures. Today when the video played they had pictures of Mom with their kids and grandkids, no pictures of my kids or my grandkids. I do not know when they decided that I was giving away power since I am the oldest.
No one at the funeral wore a mask except me, my husband, my daughter, and my granddaughter. There were about 50 people in a small room.
My daughter wears a fancy watch that tracks her heart rate and it was saying it was 120, we talked about it maybe anxiety but it was not going down it stayed high for 3 hours. After the funeral she went to the ER, it was 130 there. They ran a bunch of tests and her heart is fine. But they said they think she might have some sort of virus that is causing her heart rate to be high. They ran a covid test but will not know the results for 3 days, they told her the rapid test is only 60% good.

I'm so sorry ... some members of your family are behaving disrespectfully and downright DANGEROUSLY ... and they are jealous of you, too, because they want to act like you aren't there ... but nobody does that to anyone who doesn't REALLY matter.
I know, if I could not care, it would not hurt so bad. I have to learn not to care.
The challenge with learning how not to care is that it callouses your heart ... but, unless you can get SERIOUS distance, it is just the price that has to be paid, because some people just are not worthy recipients of the care.
This is what I need to do.

thanks, I love it. But I did not get to go to the inlet or the cemetery today. I did not know if Mandy had covid and knowing I was exposed, I did not want to spread it. She got her test results back and it was negative. She does have some kind of virus that is attacking her heart. The doctors at the hospital were sure it was covid, but the only thing she did not have was a fever. She feels better today as long as she stays in bed her heart rate stays down but if she even sits up it goes up. She tries to walk and says she feels like she is whipped.
