Unseen Sajek & Our Responsibilities

Sajek Vally is one of the most popular tourist destinations of evergreen Bangladesh. This beautiful piece of land is located in the district of Rangamati and is one of the end peaks of the country.

Sajek is located 1800 feet above sea level where clouds and a range of hills meet each other.

People from the country and abroad go to Sajek around the year to enjoy the natural beauty of Sajek- Rangamati, and the range of hills of Mizoram.

This is unseen Sajek like other wild destinations of Bangladesh! Have you ever thought about some wildflowers you would be expecting during your next tour? I have! I did look for them, I do love to watch the wildflower, and most of them do not have any fragrances if I am right but they look awesome. “Komlok Waterfalls” would be on your list if you were an adventure lover. You need to find the second helipad and there is a wild road, which will take you to the waterfalls, just after the rainy season would be the right choice to be the waterfall. Wildflowers, butterflies, smiles of some unknown shirtless kids, clouds, blue sky, waterfalls, and the green hills of Rangamati definitely made me think to go again.

The journey from Khagrachori to Sajek is adventures; hills going up and done with the zigzag road will make you feel the thrill. Most of the road found the top of the range of the hills towards the Sajek Vally and you would find hundreds of kids standing both sides of the road waving hands to you and expecting chocolates of few coins. I felt both good and bad, it is obviously not a wise way to help them (by throwing from jeep) but I did not find another way! Authorities should step ahead to find some solutions.

As a traveler, I could make sure Bangladesh is one the most beautiful country in the world but information and announcement are required to ensure every step of the tourism area. There should be a small tourism office only for the information for the tourist with experienced customer service personal. In addition, more road signs and guidelines are required to mention besides a structure required to be established so that people could follow them.

Please do not through any unwanted thing to nature as it would cost thousands of times more than you even realize, I have seen a gap of a mountain full of plastic and other used things like a Dustbin! Do we think only cleaning water and air would save the environment!? A piece of flamed cigarette bud (or Sabotage) burned four resorts, two restaurants, and one home a second of this month, whatever the reason we need to be more conscious about the nature we do love.
