Der Ingwer Kick / The ginger kick 😎🍻

Wer kennt ihn nicht, den guten alten Ingwer!?
Man liebt ihn oder hasst ihn, dazwischen gibt es meistens nichts. Ich habe ihn, nachdem ich früher fast gekotzt hatte wenn mir mal ein Stückchen in den Mund geriet, im Laufe der Zeit lieben gelernt und heute ist diese Wunderknolle aus meiner Küche nicht mehr wegzudenken.
Dennoch gibt es Dinge wo dieses scharfe Zeug nicht rein gehört, wie z.B. ins Bier.
Das zumindest dachte ich, bevor ich den edlen Tropfen, welcher heute mein Hauptdarsteller zu @detlevs aktuellen BeerSaturday ist, probiert hatte.

You love him or hate him, there is usually nothing in between. I have him after I had almost puked in the past when I got a piece in my mouth, learned to love over time, and today this miracle root from my kitchen is no longer imaginable.
Nevertheless, there are things where this spicy stuff does not belong purely, such as in the beer.
At least that's what I thought before I tried the noble drop, which is today my main actor for @detlevs current BeerSaturday.

In Ermangelung an anderen neuen Bieren, griff ich im Supermarkt vor Verzweiflung zu diesem IKI BEER, was wohl soviel wie positives Leben bedeuten soll und das Beste aus der asiatischen wie europäischen Braukunst vereint. Das zumindest behaupten die Brauer.
Aus Erfahrung weiß ich, das man da nicht so viel drauf geben muss und so sah ich mir das Fläschchen mal genauer an.

Lacking other new beers, I reached for this IKI BEER in desperation at the supermarket, which I guess is supposed to mean positive living and combines the best of both Asian and European brewing. At least that's what the brewers claim.
From experience, I know that one does not have to give there so much on it and thus I looked me the small bottle times more exactly at.

Die freundlichen 5,5% Vol/Alc weckten sofort meine Neugier und auch die Tatsache das man hier mit grünem Tee experimentiert hat, fand ich nicht uninteressant.
Auf dem Etikett wurde ich schließlich aufgeklärt, es mit einem Holländischen Bier zu tun zu haben, welches in Belgien abgefüllt wird und mit BIO Qualität wirbt.
Wird Zeit die Flasche mal zu öffnen!

The friendly 5.5% Vol/Alc immediately aroused my curiosity and also the fact that one has experimented here with green tea, I found not uninteresting.
On the label, I was finally enlightened to have to do with a Dutch beer, which is bottled in Belgium and advertises with BIO quality.
It's time to open the bottle!

Da lacht das Auge, eine wahre Schönheit präsentiert sich da im Glas.
Auch geschmacklich hat dieses merkwürdige Bierchen einiges zu bieten.
Kräftig, würzig, der Hopfen schafft es sich bemerkbar zu machen und im Abgang umgarnt eine leichte Ingwernote den Gaumen.
Es schmeckt wie ein sehr gutes Pils Bier, mit einem unaufdringlichen Ingwer Kick.
Ich war völlig aus dem Häuschen vor Freude, denn ehrlich gesagt hatte ich mit einem Desaster gerechnet.

Since the eye laughs, a true beauty presents itself there in the glass.
Also taste-wise, this strange little beer has a lot to offer.
Strong, spicy, the hops manage to make themselves felt and in the finish, a light ginger note ensnares the palate.
It tastes like a very good pilsner beer, with an unobtrusive ginger kick.
I was absolutely giddy with delight because honestly, I was expecting a disaster.

Das IKI INGWER ist definitiv ein Bier nach meinem Geschmack, süffig und erfrischend. Leider ist es wie so oft zu teuer ( über 3 Euro ) und somit kann ich es nicht täglich trinken, werde mir aber ganz sicher hin und wieder mal ein Fläschchen gönnen.

The IKI INGWER is definitely a beer to my taste, quaffable and refreshing. Unfortunately, it is as so often too expensive ( over 3 euros ) and thus I can not drink it every day, but will certainly now and then treat myself to a bottle.
