The weekend is for family if not for a rest day. Going to a beach or to certain places filled with peaceful feelings. With food is not bad either while enjoying it with family. Spending time while being outside to feel the aroma of what is outside. The lights, the environment, the sky and everything about being outside.

Good thing, barbecue food can be found in the next town at Liloan Southern Leyte. I think months have passed already since we went outside together with family. Of course, the small store of ours with my wife was temporarily closed for the whole night. No one was left alone at the house, so no one could watch over the store. It’s for family bonding and should be all of us.

Even though this place was popular, we haven't visited it before. The next town was near but we didn’t have time to be there whenever we wanted to. Then yeah, we decided to visit and we found out that it was next to the port of the said town. It was wide and long, obviously, what could be seen was the same. It was nice, watching the whole area was astonishing because it offered a light feeling. Just imagine how the wind lifted someone’s soul just by being there. How much more when you feel it together with family, it was happiness for sure.

While waiting for the food, you know barbecue takes time before it can be eaten. A little chit chat with them while letting the mind be emptied so worries could fade even just for a short time. Though it was supposed to be happiness, I suddenly remembered home. Yes, I was thinking of my family, I mean the original one with the same blood that flows through the veins. I’m the type of a person who doesn’t always talk and chooses to be silent while listening and expressing emotions. Yes, sadness engulfed me but I hid it not to ruin the mood.

The place is a bit crowded since it’s not that big and many people visited this place. Even so, the farther view from a distance will give a light feeling. So it’s okay despite it and for sure it will be enjoyable. Yes, the food arrived but sorry there was no single photo of us, like a selfie or something. My mood kind of ruined since it took too much time waiting for the food to be served. And then when it was served, there was no rice that I got annoyed by. We could not enjoy the food without rice.

The food was delicious but unintentionally, I was not happy because of that store's unpreparedness. I’m not saying all of them because there are 4 of them and unfortunately we were fated in that one store that prepared poorly. Well, there’s no helping about it because sometimes being unlucky is part of life. We still managed to find rice and yeah, we filled our hungry stomachs. We found a way to find rice and then enjoy the food.

Even so, the time we spent together was maybe more important than all. After eating, we stayed for a few minutes before deciding to go home. As we arrived in the house, the annoyance of not eating right away was replaced with a smile. We were so happy that even though it was quite late when we arrived home we spent more time exchanging conversations about the experience we just had. Yes, that’s the point of it, to strengthen bonds and then to make ourselves happier. That’s how going to a certain place with family could help in terms of bonding.
