Is Betrayal Forgivable?
If there's trust for sure betrayal can be found. Just like good and bad, it will always be there but opposite. If there are those people who wish for peace there are people who initiate war to achieve it. Betrayal can not be avoided if some people are eager to earn trust. However, it depends on the damage it occurs if it's acceptable or unacceptable. Obviously, I'm referring to a betrayal of love since a lot of people are experiencing it.
Humans are vulnerable in so many ways in terms of love. It's normal that when two people stay together for a long time, they will get bored. Even so, there are those people who can control their emotions. What's the correct thing to do that can be prevented? Either through actions or through their thoughts. A betrayal doesn't just refer to action because betraying is lying to someone who loves you.
Recently, my two classmates in high school and friends were betrayed. Both of them have their own families. The other one, her husband betrayed her by flirting with my friend's wife. They have children, and obviously, it was not easy to let go of the family they had because of betrayal. They decided to accept the pain and move on. It's not that they forgot it already how it hurt them both. It's just that they prioritize their families first not to be broken in the future. What would happen to their children if they grow up without a mom and dad?
Yes, betrayal is forgivable depending on how the damage was done. Even though they'll feel like being belittled or not respected they thought of letting it pass. But maybe because the damage was not too much. Maybe because it was still acceptable despite how it pained them. They chose to hide the pain just to make sure their families can be preserved.
No, betrayal is unforgivable if it's too much to handle. What's the reason for neglecting the mistake when it's ruining someone's life? Don't tell me you are willing to accept your loved ones when it kills you every day. Just for example, what if your husband or wife fooled you visibly? Will it be ignored when it makes you crazy after? That's why annulment or divorce is not bad to decide when it's hurting you emotionally and physically. What's worse is if you'll hurt the people around you like your children.
Will it be forgivable? It's up to you to decide if you are being betrayed. It's not easy to handle a situation when you're the one experiencing it. No one can understand how it feels as long as you are not the one who feels betrayed. If you don't want it to happen, don't betray someone if there is something you protect and love.
