I naira coin is the second largest coin in Nigeria. The central bank of Nigeria started using 1 naira coin in 1991, the coin weight 12.1g with a dimensions of 27.5 × 27.5 × 3 mm and it comes with silver colour
Text on the coin is Federal Republic of Nigeria, Herbert Macaulay 1864-1948, One Naira, Unity and Faith, Peace and Progress, ₦1. Animal: eagle, horses.
This very coin was use during my birthday month and people give me this very coin when i was a child and i really fall in love with it.
This coin is still in using but because the coin price do not have value people stop using it because if you carry like 1000 pieces it will be too plenty so people prefer note to coin now a days.
What can you said about this coin? Have you use it before..
I've seen some Nigerian banknotes before but this is the first time seeing a Nigerian coin. I do have a collection of international coins made from base metals.
