LIQUID 👁 EYE, the chart shows the USA's dramatic drop in the V-Dem Liberal Democracy Index — falling from rank 20 to rank 51 in just one year (2024-2025), the steepest decline since 1965. The University of Gothenburg study calls this a 24% score drop and labels it "unprecedented" democratic backsliding, now classifying the US as an "electoral democracy" rather than a liberal one.
