Hola amigos de hive y comunidad @familly-friends, espero que hayan pasando un bonito fin de año 2024, deseándoles a todos lo mejor en este inicio de año nuevo, que venga lleno de abundantes bendiciones.

Vivo en una urbanización donde reina la alegría de los vecinos y los compartir. Realmente debo darle gracias a Dios porque mis vecinos siempre están pendiente de cada detalle, todo lo celebramos. Nos aceptamos con nuestros defectos y virtudes, lo cual es muy importante porque nunca ha habido ningún tipo de disgusto entre nosotros, nos respetamos; realmente vivimos en un conjunto residencial donde reina la paz y la familiaridad, en las buenas y en aquellos momentos no tan buenos ahí están los vecinos.

Como de costumbre, todos los 25 de diciembre los vecinos de mi cuadra celebramos el nacimiento del niño Dios disfrutando de una rica sopa, lo que aquí en Venezuela llamamos cruzado (carne de Lagarto, costilla y pollo). Cada vecino colaboró con un kilo de carne y un kilo de verduras para elaborarla y algunos trajeron sus arepas.

Yo siempre soy la encargada de elaborar la sopa por ser la más madrugadora, ya que el resto de los vecinos siempre se levanta tarde después de las once de la mañana.

El domingo 25, me levanté a las 8 de la mañana junto a mi esposo @gpache a preparar las verduras, cortar la carne, picar aliños y poner la olla. A eso de las 12 :30 del medio día estaba lista la sopa, colocamos las mesas de mi casa y de algunos de los vecinos que también trajeron su silla, plato y cucharilla, cada uno nos acercamos para compartir en familia en el estacionamiento de mi casa.

Me sentí muy alegre porque mi esposo salió a buscar a mi suegra y ella se animó a acompañarnos en el almuerzo, a pesar de su avanzada edad (99 años).

Después del almuerzo, nos quedamos disfrutando de unas cervezas y sangría, amenizados por una buena música que una vecina amablemente colaboró con su corneta. Así pasó el tiempo, charlamos, nos reímos y bailamos hasta las 10 de la noche.

Celebrating Christmas with a delicious soup among neighbors

I live in an urbanization where the joy of neighbors and sharing reigns. I really have to thank God because my neighbors always take care of every detail, we celebrate everything. We accept each other with our defects and virtues, which is very important because there has never been any kind of dislike between us, we respect each other; we really live in a residential complex where peace and familiarity reigns, in the good times and in those not so good times there are the neighbors.

As usual, every December 25th the neighbors of my block celebrate the birth of the child God enjoying a delicious soup, what here in Venezuela we call cruzado (lizard meat, ribs and chicken). Each neighbor collaborated with a kilo of meat and a kilo of vegetables to make it and some brought their arepas.

I am always in charge of making the soup because I am the early riser, since the rest of the neighbors always get up late after eleven in the morning.

On Sunday the 25th, I got up at 8 am with my husband @gpache to prepare the vegetables, cut the meat, chop the seasoning and put the pot on. At about 12:30 noon the soup was ready, we set the tables of my house and some of the neighbors who also brought their chair, plate and spoon, each one of us approached to share as a family in the parking lot of my house.

I was very happy because my husband went out to look for my mother-in-law and she was encouraged to join us for lunch, despite her advanced age (99 years old).

After lunch, we stayed and enjoyed a few beers and sangria, enlivened by good music that a neighbor kindly collaborated with her bugle. And so the time passed, we chatted, laughed and danced until 10 o'clock at night.
