Lots of pictures of the garden

This time I want to show some pictures of the garden, especially starting with this beautiful flower of a cactus that I think it is Echinopsis Oxygona although I am not really sure, and it is because of the red coloration on the outside of the petals, but let's see the pictures while we talk about it.

To begin with according to what I found on the Internet the flowers of this genus are nocturnal, however this flower opened in the early morning before sunrise and was open throughout the day, as for the aroma was not a very strong smell, in fact it was almost imperceptible although it was a pleasant fragrance, similar to the smell of chewing gum if you know what I mean.

The yellow color was intense and the red color of the exterior was very pleasing visually.

Here we can see the other white flowered cactus that I already showed in another post, seeing the spines I think I need to do a new research because they look different, the flowers are very similar but not the size of the spines.

But as I say, the shape of the flower is very similar between them.

Here I have another one in a different pot, and as you can see it is also developing a flower bud, hopefully it will be a different color.

If we went back in time we would remember this post in which I showed a couple of pictures of my Lobivia arachnacantha, one red and the other one orange, I did the cross pollination and the result were cacti that were born chlorotic, at that time my experience was limited and my knowledge below what I know now, besides I didn't have a rootstock at that time either so all the chlorotic ones died without me being able to do anything, only one small cactus survived, which I grafted and this is the result, it is already developing flower buds, now I hope it will give me a surprise with the color, or we could try to guess which color will be the dominant one.

And since I learned how to graft the root part, here is the other result, although at the moment it has not developed flower buds yet.

Succulents are becoming a problem, I have too many and I don't like to spray the garden, from what I see succulents are more prone to diseases and pests, so it's one more reason to sell most of them and leave a garden almost exclusively for cacti.

Below are some columnar cacti that are developing flower buds.

Now the following cactus is one of the most confusing to amateur and professional collectors, I have seen that in areas of Latin America call this cactus as monkey tail which in my country is incorrect, this cactus is known as foxtail and belongs to the family of cleistocactus, like the Cleistocactus winteri subs. colademononis that would be the original monkey tail, instead the cactus that I have would be a Cleistocactus winteri subs. ( I do not know ), I need to investigate even more but the flowering is very similar in these two species for being of the same family.

Now I want you to see that beautiful root of the Ferocactus Herrerae, one of my sisters-in-law asked me to sell it to her and since I had it in a community pot I had to remove the cactus from the mix, I pruned the root and gave her the necessary recommendations so she can have it in her house, growing healthy.

To finish I want to tell you that lately I have been going to the park a lot and I have seen plants that I had not noticed before, like these beautiful yuccas that already have a huge size, I still haven't decided what picture I want to take there, so I took these pictures with my cell phone to share them with you, thanks for watching the post, see you in the next one.

Ohh damn aphids!
Try to use natual stuff on them if you don't want to spray with chemicals. If you can get Neem oil you can make a mixture that is not harmful and the plants can also be water with it. That prevents from mealybugs in the root system.

I will try to get the neem oil, although I want to do an experiment, I remember I saw a tree here in town, although at the moment I don't remember where haha, I imagine the leaves must work lying around in the garden.

Muchas gracias, y sí vienen muchas flores y trasplantes de los cactus bebés que sembré la última vez, incluso ya me estoy preparando para sembrar de mis propias semillas, es una aventura increíble.
