It might sound counterintuitive (or not), but I always shoot in color and then convert it to black and white. It will always give you a lot more wiggle room when you edit the shots, specially if using Lightroom, which is my to go and main editing tool too. You will be able to manipulate every color separately.
If shooting straight in BW you will not have that "luxury". Just my two cents anyway. 🙂

Thank you very much @monochromes for the lesson, and I think so agree with your opinion, the color shot more luxury result after edited by Lightroom. ✌🙂
