A beautiful morning to us all, I hope that we are enjoying the cooler weather of this wet season. Even though the weather cannot be the same all around the world from our understanding of geography. While we are in the raining seasons, I understood that people in other locations are currently in the dry and heat seasons. I hope that we will all find the weather favorable.

It is really cold this morning and very difficult to get out of bed 😂 I learnt that the cold makes people sleep a lot of which I often fall victim but trust me go beat this weather when we have a lot of farm goals and activities that needs to be met

Yesterday at the farm we did a little bit of weeding here and there. Checked on the rice in the nursery where we have planted them to ensure that they weren't being eaten up by rodents or birds as such is a common happening. Each time you plant some rice in the nursery, it is a must go carry out mulching until the seedlings have grown to a certain length.

After that we have moved on to some other location where I had hoped to collect some potatoes stems for planting

Remember that I have planted some potatoes about a month ago in a portion of the farm. I have just discovered that the specie of potatoes I have planted aren't producing well. And this new species I have seen are so enticing.

There are different specie of thesame crops, particularly for the crops in which the seeds we plant are a vegetative form like potatoes, it is sometimes difficult to know, understand and identify which of the vegetative form will give you the best crops. But different farmers in different locations that have planted any form of the different specie can tell you the characteristics of such specie.

The owner of this one I took interest in had explained the product and quality/type of potato harvest we will be getting if we planted these. He said that they are the type his family has planted over the years due to its very good quality. Having compared the two specie of potatoes, the ones I had planted earlier and this one I have decided to plant some of these as well. All of these activities are such an important farm quest that we engage in, the search for quality seeds that will yield better outcome of products for us.
