Saved from total damage

Hello Hive

Been able to register and learn about sewing all over again has been of great assistance to me.
For instance I have countless number of damaged outfit in different pieces after trying several attempt to cut and sew back then when my abilities was very small.

This dress is one of those unfortunate cloth that was almost trashed out but thank God I didn't and today am able to transform the dress or just seek for some methods to save the dress.

For this the neckline was the problem. I chopped off too much of it. Here I search for a similar color of the plain material redrew the neckline and added the plain fabric as the original fabric for the cloth was exhausted.

This saved the dress.
I then used bias strip to then the neckline and made a loop at the back so that it can easily pass through the head.IMG

I already had it in mind that if the dress comes out pretty odd I will just recut the neckline and turn it to an off shoulder with a tiny strap and that would have been a great idea too.

Am happy for the progress I have made so far and I can't wait to show us my second apprentice project making an lady's jacket with a matching pant.

Not giving up had been the key and I will keep pressing harder against all odds to leave a mark in the fashion industry.

Thank you for the many kind words and everyday support.

It's amazing how you're able to transform dresses you've made before into something more beautiful.
