A happy new morning to us all, I do hope that we had the very best of the night and some quality rest.
The night was blissful for me as I had some good 8hours sleep after a very long time. The weather is very cold these days and that lower temperature made sleep a little easier. These are the days when one sleeps off and forget the alarm clock 😂.

Guess what I found myself doing yesterday? I was assisting a neighbour to plant some pineapples.
I am so surprised to realized that a lot of people believe in my farming skill and now call me for consultation on how to do some farming task. No body will hardly believe that I didn't attend an Agric school, they just see how much of the farm experience I have.

Yesterday I found myself planting pineapples for my neighbors. She has bought two big bunches of pineapples and had decided to plant them but she wasn't quite sure about how to plant pineapples.

Being a lover of agriculture she had planted some vegetables and peppers right within her compound, these have been supplying her all the needed veggies in the house.
Since the pinnaples were still a big bunch I took a knife and cut out the seed part here

One thing I have known is that when cutting the crown that will be planted, you much cut it out with a little portion of the flesh part.
There is a standard procedure people often follow to plant the pineapples. After cutting the crown like I just did, some persons will sun dry this for at least 3days before planting it.

While I was going about this, she insisted that we get this planted right away, I took a hoe and bore it into the ground to about 4 inches deep enough to cover the root.

I gently placed in the pinnaple crown and covered it up, I just hope that these will survive since we didn't follow the planting procedures strictly.

My neighbor lives in a compound that is fully covered in tiles and rather than allow that to discourage her from having a garden, she had searched for every available spoilt tyre and sac, filled them up with sand and now she has a garden planted with varieties of things growing here.

Mummy is so much in love with these green lives and she can grow almost anything here. I forget to take the pictures of the orange trees and bananas that have all taking a stand somewhere in this compound and are all flourishing.

It will take about 24months of growth for this planted pinepples to yield anything and only a patient farmer will wait for 3years before getting to harvest something from whatever they have planted.
