Derbidae Planthopper

Have a good day...

Again, talking about insect species, we will never stop talking about them. There are many different species and forms, perhaps from 1000 to millions. One of them is an insect in the form of a leafhopper.

Among the criteria of coloring and shape of the leafhopper there are also a lot, there are black, red, green, yellow and other colors. Honestly, my friends, since childhood and till now, I have never found this type of cicada, let alone see this type of cicada, only this time in 2022. I found this leafhopper in the forest dense Acehnese. The shape is also very different from other cicadas. From the shape of the leafhopper I found, the snout looked like a mosquito, then I looked further from a different camera angle, the snout of this leafhopper looks very much like a mouse, the shape of the face is oval and pointed. Do you judge as well as me? There are also 2 protruding dark red eyeballs on the head. There are 2 tubercles next to his eyeballs, probably functioning as antennae. Its mouth looks like a small cream-colored tube to suck the juices out of food. There are 4 wings for the wings. The 2 large wings are black and transparent, combined with the position of the open and erect wings, and the 2 small wings are attached to the large wings of the same pattern. This leafhopper has 3 pairs of long legs extending from the body and is cream colored. The overall leafhopper body I found was very small, 85% black and 15% cream, there was no comparison to the larger leafhoppers. If so, I'll try to share it again in the next post.

As for taking photos, I use the xiaomi mi 8 smartphone camera. But it can't work optimally, if the object is too small, if you click on it, the quality of the photo will deteriorate if you zoom in. Then I added an additional lens specifically for macro photography. I usually use a 35mm macro lens. This time I used a Sony 25mm lens for maximum quality and more bokeh.

To name this leafhopper, I provide Google Lens. I am looking for the exact name so that there is no mistake in giving the Latin name. This is where I get the name Derbidae cicada cicada.

Alright, for more details of the picture I have in mind, let's look at some of the pictures I prepared below, hope you like it.
