Lo divertido de este tema es saber los “hallazgos” de los demás. ¿Qué han encontrado que consideran lo suficientemente importante como para mencionarlo? ya que a lo largo del día una "halla" infinidad de cosas.

Recuerdo cuando vivía en Italia. Tenía un muy buen compañero gallego que estudiaba Diseño Industrial. Una de sus asignaturas era bastante interesante. Cada dos semanas aquel desafiante profesor les planteaban algún ejercicio curioso que terminábamos resolviendo entre todos los amigos. Recuerdo uno en especial: La cápsula del tiempo.

Las directrices eran claras: crear libremente, utilizando los materiales que cada uno considerara una cápsula del tiempo. Introducir en ella elementos interesantes que les gustaría que alguien se encontrara dentro de 50 años, y esconderla en el lugar apropiado. Aquel envase debía conservar estupendamente aquello que hubiera en su interior durante ese largo periodo de tiempo.

Me acuerdo perfectamente el momento en que Dani entró por la puerta de casa con el grito de: “Chicos, nuevo reto”. Los demás dejábamos aquello que estuviéramos haciendo para sentarnos a escuchar. Él nos trasladaba toda aquella información que había retenido metódicamente desde el aula hasta casa, y la volcaba sobre nuestros oídos. Luego empezábamos a hacerle preguntas sobre lo que se puede y lo que no. Una vez resultas todas las dudas, nos poníamos manos a la obra.

La verdad que no recuerdo qué inventamos al final, pues han pasado bastante años. Tampoco recuerdo dónde lo colocamos. Ni tan siquiera recuerdo si Dani llegó a aprobar aquel ejercicio. De lo que si estoy segura es de que la persona que encontrara o encuentre aquella “cápsula”, desde luego lo considerara todo un hallazgo.

Every two weeks that challenging professor would pose some curious exercise that we would end up solving among all our friends. I remember one in particular: The time capsule.

Put in it interesting elements that you would like someone to find 50 years from now, and hide it in the right place. That container was supposed to be a great place to preserve whatever was inside for that long period of time.

I remember the moment when Dani walked in the door with the cry "Guys, new challenge". The rest of us would stop whatever we were doing to sit and listen. He would transfer all the information he had methodically retained from the classroom all the way home, and pour it into our ears. Then we would start asking him questions about what we could and couldn't do. Once all the doubts were answered, we would get down to work.

I don't really remember what we came up with in the end, as it's been quite a few years. Nor do I remember where we placed it. I don't even remember if Dani got to pass that exercise. What I am sure of is that the person who found or finds that "capsule" will certainly consider it a real find.
