Freshwater Fish Hatchery Activities in Front of Residence

Today we harvested larvae from tilapia, I work at a fish hatchery or Fish Hatchery Center (BBI). We also live here in the complex where our fish purchases are provided with a house. And this is the page for our lives. Having several ponds both in large and small in size here we do the hatchery of several types of freshwater fish using the traditional system. Every day we are wet by entering into the pool to do our daily activities in front of the house where you live. About how we do the tilapia hatchery technique that I want to discuss on this occasion, let's see below.

Tilapia Hatchery Techniques

  1. Preparing the hatchery, we can do what we can do in the net or in the pond.

  2. Preparing the brood, to do the mating of tilapia of course we have to have a male parent and a female parent, for the parent comparison we can use 1 to 3, so in one male we can enter 3 females.

Tilapia is one of the freshwater fish that has high economic value and is in great demand by the public because it has high protein contained in the fish meat. Tilapia is also a fish that is easy for us to hatch and seeds from tilapia are very much in demand from the community.

The spawning technique that we do is in the happa net, what net with a size of 6 square meters we include 8 male parents and 24 female parents. After we released the male and female broodstock into the mating container, it took 18-24 days to have larvae from Mila. After spawning and there are already seeds in that place, we will take the seeds to transfer them to the nursery pond. How to take the seeds we drag the net to one corner so that the fish are collected there then we put the mother in the next net that has been divided Two then we take the seeds with a small scoop for us to transfer to the nursery tank.

that's a picture when I took the mother of the tilapia, I took it using a scoop with a mesh size slightly larger than the scoop that took the seeds.

This is how the seeds we harvested look like, That's a huge amount we've got.The size of these seeds we can still say the size of the larvae are very small, we have to take them with great care so that the seeds do not die. To take the seeds we use a yellow scoop with a small mesh size so that the seeds do not escape.

Baskets that have round holes like the one in the picture above are called grading which serves to separate small and large sizes. The hole of the grading also varies according to the needs we want to use.

I also show when the seeds have started measuring 1 to 3 cm.

to the right of where we live, there is also a concrete pond that serves as a nursery for the seeds when we take them from the mother. The size of the concrete pool ranges from 8 square meters. When we are still seed-sized, we can accommodate each tank of 5000 individuals and when they are large, the number in the pond must be reduced.

At the top there are also several concrete pools that have been roofed and the function of the pools is to accommodate seeds that are ready for us to sell. The size of this pond is smaller than the nursery pond as I have shown.

This is a picture of me with the mother tilapia while in the activity. I'm separating the male and female tilapia broodstock for re-breeding.

Here we also have broodstock of red tilapia which we mate directly in the pond without using Happa nets.

the house above is the house where we live, so indeed in front of the yard where we live there are many pools and here we do activities in our days. the place is still very traditional but still has very good air and is free from city noise and other environmental pollution.I also feel very happy to live in a place like this and I can do activities in the field of fish farming.

A wide picture that looks like many ponds at the front of the yard and this place is where we do our daily activities.

Maybe this is the friend of all the atmosphere in front of our residence and here we can make many activities every day. Our days are always filled with making friends with fish, we can produce more than 10,000 larvae from this fish in a month.I thank all my friends who have joined this beloved community and have given me the opportunity to be able to display this article. Thank you

This is one of my dreams, having a small fish pond that can support a family of four.

Yes, friends, if you have a little land in front of the house, please make a pool according to the size you want. Then it is filled with the type of fish that you like, hopefully this can be achieved as you wish. If my friend has a pond, if it is close to where I live, of course I will give a few seeds from the fish to be released into the friend's pond.

Wow. You’re doing very well my friend. I would also love to start up my fish farming in two years time. I must say, seeing how your post, I feel motivated.

I’ve got a question; what method is best for reading fish?

In fish farming there are several methods that we can do, the first is the direct seeding method in the soil pond container, the second is the seeding method that we do on a concrete pond, and the third method that we do the selection in a happa net container.

For me the easiest method is the method like we did by spawning in a happa net Because we are very easy to harvest larvae or seeds using the happa net method. We just need to lift the net or slide the finger to one corner to make it easier to take the parent or seed

Tilapia is one of my favorite fishes.
That is quite a big lot for fish farming. How I wish I live in a place like yours, away from pollution and with pools like that.
To more tilapias! 🎉

Thank you very much my friend like your comment. If you have the opportunity with time, you can come to our place to see the number of tilapia at our place
