Northern Flicker - Soon to be Calgary's Official Bird?
A few days ago I learned there was a vote for the city of Calgary's official bird. I was stunned to learn that the magpie was in the lead the next most voted was the Northern Flicker which I prefer much more then Magpies. So I posted about it on other social media and found many agree, then the vote started to shift towards the Northern Flicker, I wont take credit but maybe I influenced some people to vote that way.
