A Special Treat For My Mum || Toast Bread And Sardine

Last week, my mother became very ill, and I had no choice but to withdraw some of my earnings (HBD to Hive) and convert them to cash (my local currency) in order to take care of her. I bought her some drugs and asked a private nurse in the neighborhood to examine her and run some tests on her. As a result of the test, she was diagnosed with malaria, and the nurse prescribed an antimalarial medicine along with a multivitamin to aid her recovery.

My brother was obliged to return home last week Thursday to check on her; she was overjoyed to see him, which lifted my spirits. She requested toast bread and stated that she had been craving it for quite some time. I quickly gathered some cash from my brother and went to a nearby store to purchase bread and eggs for the sandwich. We have a small toasting machine as well as a the rest of the ingredients at home.

The Ingredients

  • Slices of whole grain bread (any bread of your choice works, obviously).
  • 3 eggs

  • Red Pepper

  • Sardine (any sardine of your choice)

  • Onions

  • Vegetable Oil

  • Seasoning and Salt

Step 1: Into a clean bowl, crack the eggs. Season the eggs with seasoning powder and salt to taste, blend the red pepper and onions in a small manual blender and add it to the egg, then beat/mix and leave aside.

Step 2: Bring out the sardine, open in and pour it inside the mixed eggs, beat/mix together thoroughly

Step 3: Now bring out the toasting machine, clean it, if it's a two face like mine add the vegetable oil to lubricate the face. Do the same if it's a one face.

Step 3: Place the bread on a cutting board and toast it in a clean sandwich toaster. If desired, trim the brown edges of the bread. (I don't do this all of the time.) Spread the vegetable oil on both sides of the bread with a kitchen brush (or your hand), now add the egg mixture and plug the toaster, make sure the toaster is locked and that the switch light is red; keep an eye on it since it will turn green as soon as it's done cooking.

Step 4: The sandwich is entirely cooked when the toaster goes from red to green; remove the toast, place on a clean dish, and serve alone, with fresh fruits, tea, or coffee.

This toast can be drizzled with Tea. Enjoy your Nigerian breakfast toast, which is both tasty and healthful. This recipe feeds my mum, me and my brother.

The toast machine is really helpful. You can try to add more green leafy next time to add more health benefits to your food :)
