[Esp/Eng] Así empezó mi hijo el maternal, les cuento cómo han Sido estás primeras semanas.
Hace un poco más de un mes mi vida dió un vuelvo total en su rutina, sin previo aviso y con poco tiempo para prepararme, tuve la oportunidad de llevar a mi hijo al maternal y con esto otras responsabilidades que me han tenido un poco inactiva en hive, pero para mi fortuna y la de mi bebé son cosas buenas que hoy quiero compartirles.
Bueno, todo comenzó a raíz de una visita de rutina al pediatra, entré a la consulta y mi hijo afortunadamente de salud para ese entonces estaba bien, pero le comenté a la doctora que ya mi hijo acababa de cumplir sus tres años de edad pero que su lenguaje era muy poco, es decir casi no hablaba, así que su recomendación fue que lo llevará a un foniatra para evaluarlo y además que lo inscribiera en un maternal para que así el pudiera relacionarse con otros niños y poder ver avances en su lenguaje, porque ya era hora por su edad y había que actuar a tiempo.
Allí comenzó mi preocupación por buscar un colegio, ya que mi pensar era inscribirlo en Octubre que es cuando comienza el próximo año escolar y así me daba tiempo de reunir para su inscripción, uniforme y todo los útiles escolares que el necesitaría. No queríamos llevarlo a un colegio público porque lamentablemente los que están por mi zona de residencia son muy malos y el sistema de educación pública de mi país realmente es caótico así que su papá y yo haríamos el sacrificio de pagar un buen colegio para el niño.
A little over a month ago my life took a complete turn in its routine, without prior notice and with little time to prepare, I had the opportunity to take my son to the nursery and with this other responsibilities that have kept me a little inactive in hive, but fortunately for me and my baby are good things that today I want to share with you.
Well, it all started after a routine visit to the pediatrician, I went to the office and my son was fortunately in good health by then, but I told the doctor that my son had just turned three years old but his language was very little, that is to say he hardly spoke, so her recommendation was to take him to a speech therapist to evaluate him and also to enroll him in a nursery so he could interact with other children and to see progress in his language, because it was time for his age and we had to act in time.
There began my concern about looking for a school, since I was thinking of enrolling him in October, which is when the next school year begins and that way I would have time to get together the registration, uniform and all the school supplies he would need. We did not want to take him to a public school because unfortunately the ones in my area of residence are very bad and the public education system in my country is really chaotic so his father and I would make the sacrifice of paying for a good school for the child.
Realmente me frustré porque al preguntar en varios planteles me di cuenta que no nos alcanzaría el dinero para pagarlo tan pronto porque son costosos en esta área residencial, necesitaríamos al menos un mes más para reunir y además comprar lo que el niño necesitaría. Recordé que una tía política estaba trabajando como maestra en un colegio donde mi hermano menor estudió hace unos diecisiete años y le llamé para preguntarle cuál era el costó de la matrícula y mi sorpresa fue que era uno de los más caros de todos los que había visitado, así que me hice la idea de que el maternal no sería una opción y que mi chiquito comenzaría sus clases en Octubre.
Pasaron dos días y está tía que les mencioné estaba tratando de comunicarse conmigo y yo en ese momento estaba un poco ocupada, así que me hizo saber con otros familiares que necesitaba hablar conmigo urgentemente, en lo que pude logré llamarla y para mí sorpresa y alegría ella habló con la directora del colegio y me hicieron una excelente propuesta que consistía en que yo les diera clases música a los niños y así ellos me permitían llevar al niño sin pagar, serían dos días a la semana, además de colaborar en los actos en que los niños tengan una presentación musical y justamente se acercaba el día de las madres así que esa misma semana estaba yo activa para iniciar con mi hijo en este nuevo mundo.
I was really frustrated because when I asked at several schools I realized that we would not have enough money to pay for it so soon because they are expensive in this residential area, we would need at least one more month to gather and also buy what the child would need. I remembered that an aunt-in-law was working as a teacher in a school where my younger brother studied about seventeen years ago and I called her to ask what the tuition cost was and my surprise was that it was one of the most expensive of all the ones I had visited, so I made up my mind that the nursery school would not be an option and that my little boy would start his classes in October.
Two days passed and this aunt that I mentioned was trying to contact me and I was a little busy at that moment, so she let me know with other relatives that she needed to talk to me urgently, as soon as I could I managed to call her and to my surprise and joy she talked to the director of the school and they made me an excellent proposal that consisted of me giving music classes to the children and that way they would allow me to take the child without paying, It would be two days a week, in addition to collaborate in the acts in which the children have a musical presentation and it was just approaching Mother's Day so that same week I was active to start with my son in this new world.
Ha Sido una experiencia sumamente enriquecedora trabajar con niños de esa edad, aunque ya he trabajado en el área musical con niños antes, es la primera vez que lo hago con niños tan chiquitos y ha Sido muy hermoso desde el primer día que empecé y a medida que pasa el tiempo mi compromiso con ellos es mayor.
Gracias a Dios conté con familiares y amigos que me ayudaron con el uniforme pues apenas lo va a usar dos meses porque falta poco para terminar el año. En este mes han pasado tantas cosas que contarles en esta publicación todo lo que he vivido se me va a quedar corta y no quisiera aburrirlos con tanta charla, por el momento puedo decirles que he visto avances en la socialización de mi hijo y en el lenguaje también, ya está repitiendo todo además canta mucho, creo que su maestra de música está haciendo un excelente trabajo 😜
It has been a very enriching experience to work with children of that age, although I have worked in the musical area with children before, it is the first time I do it with children so young and it has been very beautiful since the first day I started and as time goes by my commitment to them is greater.
Thank God I had family and friends who helped me with the uniform because they are only going to use it for two months because the year is almost over. In this month so many things have happened that telling you in this publication everything I have experienced will be too short and I would not want to bore you with so much talk, for the moment I can tell you that I have seen progress in the socialization of my son and also in the language, he is already repeating everything and he sings a lot, I think his music teacher is doing an excellent job 😜.
Si hay algo que debemos invertir es en la educación de nuestros hijos, el saber que están en un lugar que lo cuidan bien y además cuenta con profesionales que le ayuden a desenvolverse desde muy corta edad ha Sido un alivio para mí. Este colegio tiene clases de ajedrez, artes plásticas, música y además los viernes son recreativos y las actividades que hacen para el desarrollo psicomotor han Sido espectaculares y ser parte de estos educadores me ha conmovido mucho y me ha transformando mi pensar en cuanto a la educación primaria.
If there is something we should invest in is the education of our children, knowing that they are in a place that takes good care of them and also has professionals that help them develop from a very young age has been a relief for me. This school has classes in chess, plastic arts, music and also on Fridays they have recreational classes and the activities they do for psychomotor development have been spectacular and being part of these educators has moved me a lot and has transformed my thinking about elementary education.
