Hive Open Mic 72: Global Harmony, Review and Highlights
Greetings to all fellow musicians and the audience of Open Mic!
As we all already know, week 72 of Hive Open Mic was a special one. The goal was to achieve global harmony through one song in the whole community. Simple Pretty Melody, composed by @cabelindsay, which in fact was simple, but so pretty. It was a huge success, as many members decided to participate with their contribution. Unique covers appeared on the scene, different instruments, styles and ensembles. It was a joyful week, seeing and listening to all the Simple Pretty Melody songs. Also, some spontaneous collaborations were made, and that is just another proof that the idea for this week was a very good and special one.

Como todos sabemos, la semana 72 de Hive Open Mic fue especial. El objetivo era lograr la armonía global a través de una canción en toda la comunidad. Simple Pretty Melody, compuesta por @cabelindsay, que de hecho era simple, pero muy bonita. Fue un gran éxito, ya que muchos miembros decidieron participar con su contribución. Aparecieron en escena versiones únicas, diferentes instrumentos, estilos y conjuntos. Fue una semana alegre, ver y escuchar todas las canciones de Simple Pretty Melody - Simple Melodía. Además, se hicieron algunas colaboraciones espontáneas, y eso es solo una prueba más de que la idea para esta semana fue muy buena y especial.
For this week, we could enjoy two special illustrations, made by our host, Cabe. Colourful, vibrant instruments. We can enjoy those new creations every Sunday when he announces the topic for the next week. Those nice images accompany the weekly theme and help us getting closer to the topic. Thank you @cabelindsay, as always, for these illustrations!

The happiness is visibly shining from Cabe while introducing the video and we can see his special touch to the song. Thank you for this offered song to unite the musicians. Great steps for the community through this Simple Pretty Melody.

An awesome surprise that came from Andrew with his amazing electric guitar playing, showing great skills and passion. And not to mention that he has chosen to play upon my piano version of the song. Thank you so much, it was an honour to me you made this spontaneous collaboration.

One another awesome, completely different kind of cover. Ylich used the track of Cabe and my humble piano version too, and played the percussion and the trombone. His singing is bringing a lot of joy, and the spoken part is a so creative way to enrich the message of the topic. Great job, thank you!

I wish I could make a highlight post showing everyone, I would be happier seeing all the participants highlighted as all did lovely and good work. Your Spanish was cool and the rap part too ;) I was so in lack of time, so my comment was missing in your publication...
But, let us wait what will Cabelindsay bring, there will be a mashup , hopefully including as many as possible, maybe all the participants. Waiting to see that, I am sure it will be great.

An excellent list of highlights, thank you very much. Wow, this week was full of amazing entries. It would require the longest post ever in order to sufficiently spotlight each of the gems. I am so grateful to these ones shown here, and also those listed at the bottom. For me, the next step will be to try to mash-up and blend and mix these numerous tracks into a singular statement that expresses the song. I am so excited for this, and also intimidated by the huge task ahead, but ready! And I anticipate even more smiles and happy tears as I listen again and again to what is already given.

I am sure the mash-up will be great and will bring, as you say, even more smiles and happy tear to the eyes of everyone. We can see a lot of love and dedication of all the participants, how great was the week. And yes, it would require a longer post, the only drawback is that would be too heavy publication.
