General Review of Hive Open Mic week 48, HAPPINESS

Here comes a bit different post about the week 48. Not highlights post but some statistics work I have done and just a few featured ones by me. We hope that the highlights post will come by the admin @cabelindsay tomorrow or other day.

Week 48 was very productive in many ways. Apart from the fact that 49 musicians participated, they did their best to be as diverse as possible and of course to share their happiness. Yes, happiness, and exactly that was the topic. I think it is very important to understand what it means for us musicians to play an instrument or sing. Does that fulfil us? Does that make us happy? Do we share the joy with others through our music?

There were so many different views of what happiness mean to each one. One said that is family, other that it is raising the spirit of others. To one user happiness was the ability to play again with two hands. Some said happiness for them is to sing together with the loved ones. Others shared songs that make them happy, and there was one musician who said that happiness is a chemical reaction in our brain.

In my understanding, happiness is also making happy the others and sharing our joy with other people. For me it is a vary important task, as I see people around that need that as the difficult times make them unhappy and lost in the multitude of unnecessary information that life imposes on us.

So let us see some statistics. I saw that there were 49 entries. 15 of them were original songs and 34 covers.

I am going to feature only a few posts that made a special impact on me. We can not highlight everyone, as then it would not be any more highlights. However, the real highlights post will come from our admin, Cabe who has that difficult task to do. We should all appreciate even more his work done for the whole community. He is present with his words, his curation and spirit and understanding to all of us. Thank you @cabelindsay! Also thank you everyone who comment on others' posts and encourage each other to continue with the work. It really can be a good motivation and inspiration to be better every day, to help each other grow as individuals and musicians. Great work, community!!!!

I was so happy to see this great organist to join again to Hive Open Mic. He broke his wrist in an accident (ice skating, don't ever do it again, please) and badly injured his knee. To joy is immense, he can play again with both hands, so it was a perfect time to his entry. And what a joyful fuga. Congratulations and wishing a quick full recovery!!

Listen to this happy song. Music written on his own original poetry, featuring happiness. And he dedicated it to me, as somehow he realized how much happiness music can bring as I always emphasized it in his songs. I just couldn't believe it, thank you again for this dedication.

I was smiling all the time listening to this so happy song and his interpretation. Just awesome skills of bringing us through the screen and sound happiness. Listen to his voice! I am just amazed. Great work friend!

Hive Open Mic 48 ~ "Feel" (Original Song) by @holisticmom

This was the first time I met this lady, holisticmom. She said how important is to raise the poeple's spirit in difficult times and help them walk in every situation. So she wrote this beautiful song and I listened to it with much appreciation. However, it is not all. We just realized we lived in neighbour towns, before she moved a few years ago. It was incredible! How small is the world. I am so happy holisticmom that we met here in this platform!

This entry was completely different. In the other ones I looked for energy and spirit, songs that bring happiness through joyful rhythm and lyrics. This one brought me happiness in other way. In some calm and spiritual way, I let myself go into deep and calm happiness led by his words. My eyes filled with tears, I didn’t say that in the comment because it was too strong the feeling in that moment. I just thanked him for everything, and I will do it again. Thank you Andrew for sharing your talent with us.

All the other participant did very well too. I maybe haven't time to comment in each one, but when I saw an entry and was with time I already let you know when I liked your participation. And indeed, thank you everyone who stopped by my entry and listened to me, it was a huge happiness for me seeing that! it is much appreciated :)

I will share again this photo of a writing I found the other day in one wall. Happiness only real when shared, so you all demonstrated it is like that, and I will just slightly change the phrase: Music only real when shared. Then it brings happiness.

La semana 48 fue muy productiva en muchos sentidos. Aparte del hecho de que participaron 49 músicos, hicieron todo lo posible para ser lo más diversos posible y, por supuesto, compartir su felicidad. Sí, felicidad, y ese era exactamente el tema. Creo que es muy importante comprender lo que significa para nosotros, los músicos, tocar un instrumento o cantar. ¿Eso nos satisface? ¿Eso nos hace felices? ¿Compartimos la alegría con los demás a través de nuestra música?

Había tantos puntos de vista diferentes sobre lo que significaba la felicidad para cada uno. Uno dijo que es familia, otro que eleva el espíritu de los demás. Para un usuario, la felicidad era la posibilidad de volver a tocar con las dos manos. Algunos dijeron que la felicidad para ellos es cantar junto a sus seres queridos. Otros compartieron canciones que los hacen felices, y hubo un músico que dijo que la felicidad es una reacción química en nuestro cerebro.

En mi opinión, la felicidad también es hacer felices a los demás y compartir nuestra alegría con otras personas. Para mí es una tarea muy importante, ya que veo personas alrededor que necesitan que los tiempos difíciles los hagan infelices y se pierdan en la multitud de información innecesaria que la vida nos impone.

Voy a presentar solo algunas publicaciones que tuvieron un impacto especial en mí. Sin embargo, la publicación de lo más destacados vendrá de nuestro administrador, CabeLindsay, quien tiene esa difícil tarea que hacer. Todos deberíamos apreciar aún más su trabajo realizado para toda la comunidad. Él está presente con sus palabras, su curación y espíritu y comprensión para todos nosotros. ¡Gracias @cabelindsay! También agradezco a todos los que comentan las publicaciones de otros y se animan mutuamente a continuar con el trabajo. Realmente puede ser una buena motivación e inspiración para ser mejores cada día, para ayudarnos a crecer como personas y como músicos. Buen trabajo, comunidad y enhorabuena a todos!!!!
