Sit Down or Ran Away

I have always been a person who has thought about others before doing something. I have never been on stage facing the public, never written anything on the blackboard of the classroom, never raised my hand to answer a question even after memorizing it pretty well. The fear of judgement is what I have always run from, and still doing that more or less.

You know, when I am in another city, I roam as I please. Messy hair, mismatched clothes, and whatnot. It's not like I am an unorganized guy but I didn’t have that much time to care for these, nor did I care for anyone’s judgment on the street as all of them are strangers. So the point is, I don't care about strangers, not about someone who doesn’t know me personally. If we know each other then every thought would have mattered to me whether that's a positive one or not.

So the topic demands an answer from me whether I would write blogs if there was no monetary value on hive. The short answer is, yes I would write but not so consistently as I am doing right now, why? Let's break that down.

"ᵂᵒʳᵈˢ ᵃⁿᵈ ᵖⁱᶜˢ ᵃʳᵉ ᵐⁱⁿᵉ, ᵘⁿˡᵉˢˢ ᴵ ˢʰᵒᵘᵗᵒᵘᵗ ʷʰᵉʳᵉ ᵗʰᵉʸ ᶜᵃᵐᵉ ᶠʳᵒᵐ!"

I am someone who loves to taste different things that fascinate me. Everywhere I go, I try to use different sets of profiles, not with fake information but everything separately to communicate and participate with. Like a separate identity for a separate platform. The anonymity that comes with this is what thrills me the most, I don't like to mix things that much. So here on Hive, I have a different profile and built a completely new identity and all. No friends and family members are present here, or the people who know me in my practical life are what I meant by separate profiles.

So someone who reads my blog posts regularly would surely guess the writing style of mine has an influence from my personal life. Not like I am dumping my personal life stories in plaintexts but I do share the thoughts and opinions surrounding the topic without revealing the actual problems. This is like my personal diary in disguise for most cases. A braindump of thoughts and so on. I am sharing my personal life problems in disguise, who is judging me? Do you know me in my practical life? No. I don't care what your opinion is about this identity I have built, once I close the tabs, it's not affecting me anymore. I got different communities with different niches to welcome my writings.

Monetary reward is important, this is what pushes me to stay consistent. If it isn't here, then I might not be this regular, come once or twice in a week with a pile of thoughts, opinions, experiences, stories and whatnot to write about. There were many hard times, no monetary rewards as well, and survived through those phases as well.

So here on hive, it gives me the freedom to have free speech, separate sets of people with separate identities and bondings. A gateway to escape from the things that troubles me in my practical life. So yeah, I would have surely survived if there were no monetary rewards on hive, what about you? Participate in this week's Weekend Engagement topics.

Freedom of speech is really put to use here on Hive and we can express ourselves and still have our audiences
Hive is fun so without monetary use, I’d still be here
Even though I may not be frequent, I’d still be here
