Delayed for Good

Today, I won a tie-tie situation, was damn lucky to secure all the milestones as expected, kinda funny too. So it was my journey from the capital to my hometown for Eid vacation, which is kind of a war to calculate everything amidst the rush and so on.

First of all, I was not sure when to come, I had an office today (16th March), so I was planning for the night of 16th or the early morning of 17th. That was my initial plan. There are more like me who are planning the same, as the 16th is the last working day for almost 80% of the people, and all are taking similar plans to fly. During my office time, I made some changes in my plan, what if I get out of the office early and catch the earliest train, which is scheduled to leave even before the end time of the majority of offices or so? That's a solid plan to leave the capital even before the mass breaks out.

So, I got out of the office almost one and a half hours ago, around 1.30 PM, and my train is scheduled to leave at 3.10 PM. Usually, the office's checkout time is 3 PM during Ramadan. Coming on the road, I realised that I was wrong, there are already tons of people on the road, huge congested traffic on my way, as there is a huge bus terminal, which is a prime location for people having a journey very far, Dhaka, almost another part of the country. The distance that takes 30 minutes, even with a mild traffic jam, took me more than one hour and 15 minutes. So its 2.45 PM now, and the train leaves at 3.10 PM, and I'm just at my home, need to pack the bags and leave again for the railway station.

When I came before the lift, it was off. Had to walk to the 7th floor all by myself, pack the bags, and leave again for the railway station. It's already 3 PM on the clock. No way to make it before 4 PM, I wasn't hopeful that I would catch that train.

This time, luck was good. The drive was good, with perfect driving skills, good navigation skills, and whatnot. I was at the railway station by 3.45 PM. I should have missed my train, right? Luckily, my train was late, I was able to get on the train, and it was a delay of one hour, and I could continue my journey.

From the perspective of the people who were on time, it was really a frustrating situation to wait that long for the train. But I was coming and was praying for the train to be delayed, lol. For me, the delay was a relief, and for the others, it was a great hassle.

So I was lucky, even after getting so delayed on the roads due to traffic, I was able to complete my journey in time. The rush will be intense at this peak hour. From planning as usual to sudden changes on the plan kinda took me on a thrilling ride, and at last made it happen.
