Daredevil Convention Sketch by Nate Lovett
I've been sharing my art collection lately and ran out of original art pages with my last post. So I thought I'd share my convention sketches.
Nate Lovett is an artist that regularly attends the local conventions. The first ever convention sketch I asked for was from him. I really like his cartoonish style, so I get something from him about every year now. I believe he does these with Copics. I previously shared Songbird which is one of my favorites and my favorite Thunderbolt. I have a few more by him I'll probably show too.
This one is obviously Daredevil! Yellow suit. I don't know why, there is just something about that original yellow suit that I think is awesome. Most of my Daredevil collectibles I try to get the yellow suit version if possible. It is kind of funny I guess, my second favorite suit is probably the armor one from the 90s. And I also like the black suit from Shadowland. The standard Red is my least favorite. 😅
My reaction when I got this from was kind of disappointed by accident haha. He offers bust and full body commissions. I had only gotten bust commissions up to this point and he would draw them on 9x12 paper. So I have portfolio for 9x12 pages. This time I decided to go full body and when I picked it up, he pulled it out and it was on 11x17 paper! I was surprised haha. I think he took it as disappointment in his art but I was really just wondering what I was going to do with it since I just had my 9x12 book with me and a backpack haha. Still really cool though. So we kind of laughed it off after I explained that haha. It now lives in my 11x17 portfolio with the original art pages and a few other things.
