Esta navidad será especial para mí🎄 || This Christmas will be special for me🎄[Esp-Eng]
Family is the most important thing for me, keeping close and taking care of the people I love is my biggest commitment every day, at home we are always my husband, my children and I because we are out of our home country and our family is scattered in several parts of the world but all far away from us, however my mother is the closest person we have, she lives 2 hours away from our city and came to spend Christmas with us 🤗🎉.
Debo aclararles que hace muchísimos años que no celebro una navidad junto a mi mamá, creo que más de 12 años realmente no lo recuerdo, porque algunas veces estuvimos en la misma cuidad pero viviendo cada una en su casa y no nos reunimos nunca para festejar en navidad, y luego mi mamá se mudó a 14 horas de la cuidad por lo que era aún más complicado incluso vernos, creo que nos encontramos un par de veces en 4 ó 5 años después que ella se mudó.
Hoy por circunstancias de la vida estamos más cerca, ella trabaja ahora aquí en Colombia aunque su casa está en Venezuela en el estado Táchira, un pueblo cercano a la frontera por eso ella va cada fin de semana a su casa a descansar y podemos vernos más seguido una vez cada 15 días🙂, así que se me ocurrió invitarla a pasar noche buena en nuestra casa y ella aceptó, al principio yo tenía dudas si de verdad vendría pero ya hoy tiene 4 días en casa con nosotros y debo confesar que ha sido bueno tenerla en nuestro hogar después de tantos años.
I must clarify that it has been many years since I celebrated Christmas with my mom, I think more than 12 years I really do not remember, because sometimes we were in the same city but each living in her house and we never met to celebrate Christmas, and then my mom moved 14 hours away from the city so it was even more complicated to see each other, I think we met a couple of times in 4 or 5 years after she moved.
Today due to life circumstances we are closer, she now works here in Colombia although her home is in Venezuela in the state of Táchira, a town near the border so she goes every weekend to her house to rest and we can see each other more often once every 15 days🙂 so it occurred to me to invite her to spend Christmas Eve in our house and she accepted, at first I had doubts if she would really come but today she has already 4 days at home with us and I must confess that it has been good to have her in our home after so many years.
El día que decidió venir para quedarse en nuestra casa fuimos a comer y a caminar por un centro comercial que ella no conocía porque pasa mucho tiempo trabajando y los día libres como les dije va a su casa, así que la lleve a despejar un poco su mente y disfrutar una tarde diferente. Ella eligió la comida, unas hamburguesas para nosotras y para los niños pollo con papas.
Siento que disfrutó ese tarde mucho, jugó un poco con los niños y los grabó con su teléfono mientras ellos reían y jugaban mientras esperábamos la comida, como la mayoría de los abuelos ella los consintió y los ayudo a comer sin derramar las cosas sobre la mesa (yo los dejó que aprendan jajaja) al terminar de comer fuimos por helados para los niños mientras nosotras hablábamos.
The day she decided to come to stay at our house we went to eat and walk around a mall that she didn't know because she spends a lot of time working and on her days off as I told you she goes home, so I took her to clear her mind a little and enjoy a different afternoon. She chose the food, hamburgers for us and chicken and potatoes for the kids.
I feel she enjoyed that afternoon a lot, she played a little with the kids and recorded them with her phone while they laughed and played while we waited for the food, like most grandparents she spoiled them and helped them eat without spilling things on the table (I let them learn hahaha) when we finished eating we went to get ice cream for the kids while we talked.
Como es navidad el centro comercial está decorado con muchas luces y en algunos espacios hay muñecos y pequeños escenarios navideños así que nos tomamos algunas fotos en el que vimos más solo, porque había mucha gente haciendo lo mismo por todos lados.
Finalmente volvimos a casa cuando ya estaba oscuro y estábamos muy cansadas, al llegar a casa vimos una película sola las dos antes de irnos a dormir, hemos aprovechado estos días para hacer bastantes cosas juntas y ponernos al día con nuestras vidas, incluso planificar algunas cosas a futuro, así que por ahora todo ha estado mejor de lo que espere que fuese esta navidad, de por sí el simple hecho de tener a mi mamá cerca es bastante importante para mí y agradezco tener la oportunidad de compartir estos días a su lado, valoro cada momento y trato de darle cariño y hacerla sentir tan bien como puedo, la alegría no cabe en mí y quería compartirlo con ustedes.
As it is Christmas time the mall is decorated with lots of lights and in some spaces there are dolls and small Christmas scenes so we took some pictures in the one we saw the most alone, because there were a lot of people doing the same thing everywhere.
Finally we returned home when it was already dark and we were very tired, when we got home we watched a movie just the two of us before going to sleep, we have used these days to do a lot of things together and catch up with our lives, even plan some things for the future, so for now everything has been better than I expected it to be this christmas, the simple fact of having my mom around is quite important for me and I appreciate having the opportunity to share these days with her, I value every moment and I try to give her love and make her feel as good as I can, the joy is beyond me and I wanted to share it with you.

Que bonito que pudiste compartir con tu mamá y ella con sus nietos, mi mamita se fue de este mundo cuando yo tenía 14 , así que siempre he soñado con esa imagen de cómo hubiese sido que ella compartiera una navidad con mis hijos. Disfrutala y pásala lindo junto a tu familia está navidad.
Es muy especial que ella esté con nosotros todos estos días. A medida que pasa el tiempo he aprendido a valorar cada segundo cada detalle por mínimo que sea cuando estoy con alguno de mis padres. Gracias por tus bonitos deseos
