Reflexionando un poco Juegos y Pantallas. || Reflecting a little: Games and Screens.

Hola mamis y papis de esta hermosa comunidad, una vez más paso por aquí a compartir con ustedes mi vida de mamá, estos días estuve reflexionando un poco sobre el tema de los juegos y el uso de pantallas en mis niños.

Hello moms and dads of this beautiful community, once again I am here to share with you my life as a mom, these days I have been reflecting a little on the subject of games and the use of screens in my children.

Una de las cosas que recuerdo de mi niñez es la cantidad de juegos, que realice, desde jugar muñecas hasta juegos de mesa, como ludo, y el favorito de los abuelo el domino. Recuerdo que cada vez que llegaba la temporada deportiva como la de futbol o béisbol. en la escuela o en casa esa era fiebre del momento jugar algún deporte imitando ya sea a nuestro ídolo favorito, luego llegaba la época de los juegos tradicionales como jugar metras, trompo, volar papagayos, la Perinola y al llegar diciembre jugar con los juguetes que traía el niño Jesús.

One of the things I remember from my childhood is the amount of games I played, from playing dolls to board games, like ludo, and the grandfather's favorite, dominoes. I remember that every time the sports season arrived, like soccer or baseball, at school or at home it was the fever of the moment to play some sport imitating our favorite idol, then came the time of the traditional games like playing metras, spinning top, flying parrots, the Perinola and when December arrived, playing with the toys that the baby Jesus brought.

Algo que me preocupa es ver que muchas veces nuestros niños, no juegan de la manera que lo hacíamos nosotros, porque ellos tienen algo que en nuestros tiempo era muy difícil de tener como lo es un celular, Tablet o un televisor, nosotros aunque teníamos televisión era más atractivo salir a jugar con nuestros amigos salir a jugar al patio de la casa, ¿Porque me preocupa? Porque uno de los beneficios del juego es ponen a funcionar nuestra imaginación, creando mundo imaginario y canciones.

Something that worries me is to see that many times our children do not play the way we did, because they have something that in our time was very difficult to have as it is a cell phone, Tablet or a television, we although we had television was more attractive to go out and play with our friends go out to play in the yard of the house, Why does it worry me? Because one of the benefits of the game is to put to work our imagination, creating imaginary world and songs.

Siempre que mis niños ven televisión yo les digo vallan a jugar y muchas veces no quieren. Por eso cuando lo hacen me llena mucho de alegría verlos jugar ver como se imaginan eventos y situaciones, crean canciones, juegan a ser profesionales, como lorelei que Juega a ser doctora y a mí me gusta imaginar también que eso será de grande.

Whenever my children watch television I tell them to go play and many times they don't want to. So when they do, it fills me with joy to see them play, to see how they imagine events and situations, create songs, play at being professionals, like Lorelei who plays at being a doctor and I also like to imagine what it will be like when I grow up.

Cuantos de nosotros jugamos a la bodeguita y hoy día tienen su negocio o les gusta sacar cuentas y estudiaron administración, o como en el caso de una de mis cuñadas ella jugaba a ser doctora y hoy en día lo es.

How many of us played bodeguita and today have a business or like to do accounts and studied administration, or as in the case of one of my sisters-in-law, she played at being a doctor and today she is one.

Muchas de mis amigas tienen hijos mayores que aún no saben que estudiar en la universidad, y yo les pregunto qué le gustaba jugar, porque para mí muchos de nuestros padres vieron a través del juego lo que seriamos de grande.

Many of my friends have older children who don't yet know what to study in college, and I ask them what they liked to play, because for me many of our parents saw through play what we would be when we grew up.

También siento que la tecnología que nuestros niños manejan hoy día si tiene sus ventajas, porque ellos no tendrán miedo el día de mañana al enfrentarse a un computador como en mi caso me paso le tenía terror a la computadora, y les será más fácil enfrentarse a una vida académica y laboral. Pero al igual que la comida debe ser balanceada; el jugar y estar frente a una pantalla debe también ser balanceado y tener su equilibrio.

I also feel that the technology that our children use today does have its advantages, because they will not be afraid tomorrow to face a computer, as in my case I was terrified of the computer, and it will be easier for them to face an academic and working life. But just as food must be balanced; playing and being in front of a screen must also be balanced and have its balance.

Es por ello que siempre trato de fomentar en mis niños, juegos tradicionales, la pintura, el dibujo, elementos que para mí son fundamentales y que les ayudara a crear, imaginar y tener una sana diversión.

That is why I always try to encourage my children to play traditional games, paint and draw, elements that for me are fundamental and that will help them to create, imagine and have a healthy fun.
