Fin de año con la abuela ||New Year's Eve with Grandma

Hola mamás y papás de esta hermosa comunidad, feliz año nuevo para todos ustedes. esperando que este nuevo año nos traiga muchas más vivencias y momentos de felicidad juntos a nuestros pequeños de la casa.

Hello moms and dads of this beautiful community, happy new year to all of you, hoping that this new year will bring us many more experiences and moments of happiness together with our little ones at home.

El día de hoy quiero contarles lo que fue mi fin de semana de fin de año, Resulta que este año no pensábamos viajar a visitar a la abuela pues la devaluación económica en este ultimo mes del año 2022 en nuestro país nos quito muchas posibilidades y planes. en mi caso uno de los planes era visitar a la abuela de mis hijos, que vive en el estado Lara en un pueblo que se llama Quibor.

Today I want to tell you about my New Year's weekend, it turns out that this year we were not planning to travel to visit grandma because the economic devaluation in the last month of the year 2022 in our country took away many possibilities and plans. In my case one of the plans was to visit my children's grandmother, who lives in the state of Lara in a town called Quibor.

Mis niños desde que salieron de vacaciones escolares por la temporada navideña tenían mucho deseo de visitar a su amada abuela,yo les decía que no se podía que mamá tenia trabajo, y muchas otras cosas pero el jueves 29 de diciembre en la noche comenzaron a pedir de manera desesperada ir a pasar fin de año en Quibor, les volví a poner la escusa del dinero para el pasaje pero su respuesta inocente me sorprendió, mamá nosotros romperemos nuestro cochinito y sacaremos las monedas para el pasaje. >Esa respuesta nos sorprendió a su papá y a mí y nos causo mucho sentimiento y se nos aguaron los ojos, porque el cochinito tiene unas monedas de las que ya no se usan en el país de un bolívar y ni con cien monedas que tuviera el cochinito no llegaríamos a ningún lado.

My children since they left school vacation for the Christmas season had much desire to visit their beloved grandmother, I told them that they could not because mom had work, and many other things but on Thursday night December 29th they began to ask desperately to go to spend New Year's Eve in Quibor, I put them again the excuse of money for the ticket but their innocent answer surprised me, mom we will break our piggy bank and we will take the coins for the ticket. >That answer surprised his father and me and caused us a lot of feeling and our eyes watered, because the piggy bank has some coins that are no longer used in the country of one bolivar and not even with a hundred coins that the piggy bank had we would not get anywhere.

Toda la noche del jueves mi cabeza me dio vueltas pensando en ellos. y en la mañana del viernes los niños volvieron a tocar el tema, al verme que tenia el día libre en casa, y comenzaron a insistir nuevamente, como a las 10 de la mañana hable con mi esposo y le dije nos vamos para Quibor, y nos fuimos con el pasaje algo limitado.Los niños se emocionaron me abrazaron y me besaron de la emoción y me decían eres la mejor mamá.

All night Thursday my head was spinning thinking about them. and on Friday morning the children returned to touch the subject, seeing that I had the day off at home, and began to insist again, at about 10 am I spoke to my husband and told him we are going to Quibor, and we left with the passage somewhat limited. the children were excited hugged me and kissed me with emotion and told me you are the best mom.

Al llegar al terminal la opción más económica era irnos en autobús hasta Barquisimeto, el autobús tenia hora de salida 1:30 pm pero llego a casi las 2:30 pm y terminamos saliendo a las 3:10 pm el viaje se hizo largo pues el autobús iba como una tortuga, y los niños iban sentados en nuestras piernas, todos desesperados por llegar.

When we arrived at the terminal the cheapest option was to take the bus to Barquisimeto, the bus was scheduled to leave at 1:30 pm but it arrived at almost 2:30 pm and we ended up leaving at 3:10 pm, the trip was long because the bus was going like a turtle, and the children were sitting on our legs, all desperate to get there.

Al fin llegamos a Barquisimeto a las 9:30 de la noche y de ahí debíamos tomar otro al pueblo de Quibor, para nuestra sorpresa el terminal en Barquisimeto estaba casi solo y ya no habian autobuses trabajando para Quibor ni los otros lugares cercanos como el Tocuyo ó Sanare, y los pocos carros que prestaban servicio nos estaban cobrando el mismo pasaje que pagamos por un viaje de Caracas - Barquisimeto.

Finally we arrived in Barquisimeto at 9:30 at night and from there we had to take another one to the town of Quibor, to our surprise the terminal in Barquisimeto was almost alone and there were no buses working for Quibor or the other nearby places like El Tocuyo or Sanare, and the few cars that provided service were charging us the same fare we paid for a trip from Caracas - Barquisimeto.

Y nos encontramos varados sin poder comunicarnos con nuestros familiares ya que la cobertura celular no es muy buena.

And we found ourselves stranded without being able to communicate with our families because the cellular coverage is not very good.

Una Joven de unos 22 años nos comento que a ella la iban a buscar un familiar y que si queríamos nos podíamos ir con ella, y solo le pagábamos para la gasolina, aceptamos y agradecimos su ayuda.

A young woman of about 22 years old told us that she was going to be picked up by a relative and that if we wanted we could go with her, and we would only pay for the gasoline, we accepted and thanked her for her help.

El familiar de nuestra joven salvadora llego a eso de las 10:30 pm y cuando íbamos llegando a Tintorero se apago el carro, nuevamente nos encontramos varados en la carretera allí estuvimos como una hora y algo hasta que paso un amigo de ellos y reconoció el carro y se detuvo y nos remolco hasta un sector donde vive un hermano de mi esposo, pero donde nos dejo apenas era la entrada y nos toco caminar unas dos cuadras en la oscuridad y rodeados de arboles y sonidos de animales mi hijo Juan Andres le dio mucho miedo y se puso a llorar que quería estar en casa, yo le dije con todo cariño que estábamos en una aventura para ir llegar a casa de la abuela como ellos habían pedido, mi niña Lorelei lo tomo con calma porque ella fue la que más insistió en el viaje así que no se quejo en ningún momento.

The relative of our young savior arrived at about 10:30 pm and when we were arriving to Tintorero the car turned off: 30 pm and when we were arriving at Tintorero the car turned off, again we were stranded on the road there we were about an hour and something until a friend of theirs passed by and recognized the car and stopped and towed us to a sector where a brother of my husband lives, But where he left us was just the entrance and we had to walk about two blocks in the dark and surrounded by trees and animal sounds, my son Juan Andres was very scared and started to cry that he wanted to be at home, I told him with all my love that we were on an adventure to get to grandma's house as they had requested, my girl Lorelei took it calmly because she was the one who insisted the most on the trip so she did not complain at any time.

llegamos a la 1:00 am a casa de mi cuñado, nos abrió la puerta de su casa y rápidamente encendió su carro y nos llevo a casa de la abuela Victoria; ya en casa de la abuela la sorprendimos porque ella no sabia nada, la ultima vez que habíamos hablado le comentamos que este fin de año no podíamos ir.

We arrived at 1:00 am at my brother-in-law's house, he opened the door of his house and quickly started his car and took us to grandma Victoria's house; once at grandma's house we surprised her because she did not know anything, the last time we had spoken we told her that we could not go this year-end.

Ella y los niños estaban felices. Una vez más me di cuenta que por nuestros hijos somos capaces de hacer y pasar por lo que sea contar de hacerlos felices,Porque no me importo gastar lo poco que me quedaba, como mamá me sentí feliz por ellos de que pudieran compartir con su abuela sus tíos y primos.

She and the children were happy. Once again I realized that for our children we are capable of doing and going through anything to make them happy, because I didn't mind spending what little I had left, as a mom I was happy for them that they could share with their grandmother, uncles, aunts and cousins.

Este año 2022 lo termine agradeciendo por tenerlo a ellos en mi vida y llenarla de alegría y color cada día, por llenarme de vivencias y aventuras junto a ellos.

This year 2022 I will finish thanking them for having them in my life and for filling it with joy and color every day, for filling me with experiences and adventures with them.
