"Mae Kampong" Trip - The village in the natural valley πΏππ±β°οΈπ³π»| Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Mae Kampong is another popular tourist attraction in Chiang Mai,Thailand. There are small villages that offer eco-tourism. Among the valleys and nature, it is about 1300 meters above sea level and is also an old village over 100 years old. Most of the villagers who live here migrated from Doi Saket. and a village was built The nature is near the edge of the river. Amidst nature that is still rich Including the simple life of the villagers.
The weather here is cool all year round. And there will be very cold weather during the winter. The main occupation of the people here is making miang or tea and the secondary occupation is growing coffee. Traveling to travel here is convenient, including sleeping here and going back. There are local homestays available here. There are no hotels or resorts.
The name Mae Kampong comes from a type of yellow-red flower that grows along the river. Therefore it is called Dok Kampong. Including water flowing through the village, it is called Mae Kampong, which is the origin of the village's name.
- And this trip, there were five of us traveling together. which had been reserved before that The accommodation is homestay style. All sleep in a room together. This trip we came by car. When we arrived at the accommodation, we went to check in to put our things away. This accommodation is all wooden houses. It feels very good, like we are in nature. There was water flowing next to it, and the sound of water flowing could be heard all the time. Surrounding that area are trees surrounding nature. This place is decorated with antiques.
- We really like this place. And after finishing packing our things, we went for a walk. At that time it was almost lunch time so we all went to the village by walking which was not too far. The village is a popular center for tourists to take photos. On the side of the road there are various shops selling things. There are both restaurants and snacks.

- I saw it and really liked it. Keep walking to find a place to eat. A food that is often seen here is Sai Oua. It's pork sausage mixed with herbs and grilled until cooked. The smell is very delicious. In addition to Sai Oua, there are many other dishes that seem to be authentic here. which is wrapped in natural banana leaves Everything looks very authentic. I like this place. After walking around and looking around, it was time to order food to eat. The food ordered today is local food from this area. Everything was very delicious.
- And after we finished eating lunch, we went to a cafe in the area. Then return to the accommodation. When night fell, they went out to the village again. At night it is another highlight just like during the day. Tourists also started coming out to find something to eat at night. There were so many people and almost every restaurant was full of tourists. The atmosphere at night seemed lively. The various shops are still unique, everything looks charming. The shops are owned by local people who still preserve them.
- The uniqueness of this place Whether it's daytime or nighttime Mae Kampong has an atmosphere that is not boring. After eating dinner, we returned to the hotel to rest. At night, it is quiet with the sound of water flowing naturally throughout the night. Sleep deeply amidst nature. Today I woke up a little early because I wanted to breathe in the morning air. The accommodation has food prepared to eat for breakfast. Accommodation fee is 600 baht per person, including breakfast. Considered not expensive. Anyone who has traveled to Thailand and likes natural travel. Try going here, guaranteed you won't be disappointed.
