Hive Open Mic Week 104 / Good Riddance - Green Day (Vocal Cover) By @migueydani
Hello big Hive family, today I want to confess that I have taken the decision to take the risk and sing in English, something I have NEVER done before and even less in front of a camera (laughs of sorrow). Beforehand I apologize for my pronunciation is not the best but as I said before I will take the risk.
The song I selected is Good Riddance by the Californian band Green Day. The song belongs to the album Nimrod released in 1997. This band is known for their loud punk rock but this time I chose the song that put them on MTV as the group that could do new things and in fact they won best alternative video for that song in 1998.
The song was written by Billie Joe Armstrong, singer of the band. In an interview he confessed that it was a farewell song for a girlfriend who was moving to another country and he wanted to do it without sounding like a bitter farewell. The singer in the same interview said; In short it's about trying to be okay and accepting that, in life, people go in different directions and they come into your life and it's wonderful, but they seem to leave your life as fast as they came in.
Keeping in mind the artist's intention I dedicate my interpretation to all those who are not with us today, victims of violence and armed conflicts because of the silly proxy war. I sing it to tell them that I hope they have lived to the fullest and that every day they will be remembered for the moments lived with their loved ones, who today remember them as the best moments of their lives.

Hola gran familia de Hive, hoy quiero confesar que he tomado la decisión de arriesgarme y cantar en inglés, algo que JAMÁS había hecho y menos ante una cámara (risas de pena). De antemano pido disculpas por mi pronunciación no es la mejor pero como dije anteriormente tomaré el riesgo.
La canción que seleccione es Good Riddance de la agrupación californiana Green Day. La canción pertenece al álbum Nimrod lanzado en el año 1997. Está banda es conocida por su rock punk ruidoso pero en esta oportunidad elegí la canción que los puso en MTV como el grupo que podría hacer cosas nuevas y de hecho ganaron como mejor video alternativo por esa canción en el año 1998.
La canción la compuso Billie Joe Armstrong, cantante de la banda. En una entrevista confesó que se trataba de una canción de despedida para una novia que se mudaría a otro país y quiso hacerla sin que sonara una despedida amarga. El cantante en la misma entrevista dijo; En resumen se trata de intentar estar bien y aceptar que, en la vida, las personas van en diferentes direcciones y entran en tu vida y es maravilloso, pero parecen salir de tu vida tan rápido como entraron.
Teniendo en cuenta la intención del artista dedico mi interpretación a todos aquellos que no están hoy con nosotros, víctimas de la violencia y conflictos armados por la tonta guerra de poder. La canto para decirles que espero que hayan vivido al máximo y que cada día serán recordados por los momentos vividos junto a sus seres queridos, que hoy los recuerdan como los mejores momentos de sus vidas.
Espero sea de su agrado y la disfruten tanto como yo al cantarla.

Esa canción cuando salió quedé flay, porque escuchar a Green Day en ese formato acústico no era muy común; te felicito porque esa canción es muy bonita, es de las mejores de ellos, cuando la tocan en vivo todo el mundo la canta a todo pulmón 🙌😀💛.
