My new best friend: Oreo

I named him Oreo, and I want to tell you our rescue story, although I know mom already told a little part of the story, and it goes on like this:

Mom picked us up at school and told us that we were going to stop at a place to do some shopping and then we would go for ice cream, she went down a street that we had never used on our route to get to the store, and there I saw a very small kitten running that looked scared, there was a man trying to catch him... I told my mom "look at the little kitten running " and she immediately asked me "do we take him? ".

The truth is that I didn't think much about it, I said "yes" because I wanted to save it from being stepped on by a car, she just stopped immediately and asked the man who was trying to catch it if he was its owner, he answered no, that the cat was in the street and that he was trying to catch it so a car wouldn't step on it, immediately my mom asked him if he could give it to us and the man took it and gave it to me.

When I grabbed the cat I felt a great regret, and I told my mom... "no, no, no mom this is crazy, to take a cat from the street... " and the more the cat clawed at me, the more I thought that it had been a terrible idea to say yes.

My brother was asleep in the car, so he did not participate in the decision, and he got a good scare when he suddenly opened his eyes and saw a cat inside the car, hahaha.

My mom called a friend and she told her to take him to a store where there was a vet service and where she could buy food and the essential things we were going to need.

We arrived at the store, delivered the kitten to be groomed and had his nails trimmed, went around choosing food and looking at all the options in the store for the cats, picked up litter, a dish for his food, and a couple of cat toys that my brother picked out.

Then we were attended by the vet, she told us that they should do a blood test to see that he was not anemic and that everything was fine, and that she should also deworm him, and so she did, we were with her while she examined them and gave us the indications.

When we picked him up we thought he was a female and we had already thought of naming him Luna, my little brother had thought of Michi... but then the Dr. told us he was a male... and my mom said "oh God, another male in the family "... so we had to think of another name for the kitten, I wanted to name him and I didn't like "Michi" and suddenly it occurred to me to name him Oreo like my favorite cookie.

The truth is that the cat gives me a lot of tenderness and I got over the regret I had when I grabbed him for the first time, I think it was a little fear I had because I had never carried an animal.

Now I have the opportunity to tell you about his antics and what I will learn about cats in my blog. For the moment I can tell you that the cat doesn't want to be separated from me and accompanies me everywhere since he has been with us.
