MY ENTRY TO SEAPHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST — WEEK 169
A veces considero que no creen que yo soy el autor de las fotografías que subo a mi blog de Hive. Por ello, esta será una de las pocas veces que compartiré selfies míos estando en el mismo lugar donde realicé la captura fotográfica.
Gracias a mi a mi afición por la naturaleza y por viajar, además de la fortuna de siempre ir y regresar a salvo, he tenido la oportunidad de viajar por mi país a disfrutar de las playas de Venezuela.
Sometimes I find that people don't believe that I am the author of the photographs I upload to my Hive blog. Therefore, this will be one of the few times that I will share selfies of me being in the same place where I took the photographic capture.
Thanks to my love for nature and traveling, plus the fortune of always going and coming back safely, I have had the opportunity to travel around my country to enjoy the beaches of Venezuela.

Quizás no lo sepan, pero trabajo como fotógrafo en una agencia de excursiones a la playa. Tengo poco tiempo en esa labor, no obstante, antes de eso, siempre he sido un fanático de tomar fotos de la playa.
Casi todas las imágenes las tomo con mi celular. Solo uso mi cámara cuando voy a trabajar. No quiero desgastarla, además, el dispositivo puede dañarse por el salitre y la arena, así que no llevo mi Nikon a todos lados.
Las fotos que observan pertenecen a un lugar llamado Cayo Sal. Está localizado en el estado Falcón de Venezuela. Es un lugar sin olas y con agua cristalina. Te puedes meter al agua a tomar fotos sin tener el temor de que una fuerte ola te tumbe.
You may not know this, but I work as a photographer in a beach excursion agency. I have only a short time in that job, however, before that, I have always been a fan of taking pictures of the beach.
I take almost all of my pictures with my cell phone. I only use my camera when I go to work. I don't want to damage it, and besides, the device can get ruined by saltpeter and sand, so I don't take my Nikon everywhere.
The pictures you are looking at are from a place called Cayo Sal. It is located in the Falcon state of Venezuela. It is a place with no waves and crystal clear water. You can go into the water to take pictures without any fear of being knocked down by a strong wave.
Para mí es sencillo tomar estas imágenes, quizás lo más difícil es trazarte la tarea de dejar las bebidas y la comida a una lado, olvidarte de las compañías y dedicar tiempo a cazar una buena escena.
La foto que ustedes ven es simple, pero me gusta su simpleza. Lo único que hice para resaltarla fue editarla con cambios en los tonos de los colores, especialmente en el azul al que di un tono ligeramente celeste.
For me it is easy to take this pictures, maybe the hardest thing is to set yourself the task of leaving the drinks and food apart, forget about the company and dedicate your time to hunt for a good scene.
The photo you see here is simple, but I like its simplicity. The only thing I did to make it stand out was to edit it with changes in the color tones, especially in the blue which I gave a slightly light blue tone.
Otra cosa que hice fue intensificar la saturación del mar, mientras que disminuí ese mismo parámetro en el cielo, donde realce las nubes con filtros para aumentar la claridad y luz del cielo.
En cuanto a las altas luces y sombras, coloqué un poco de amarillo y verde respectivamente. Toda la escena tiene mayor claridad, porque la naturaleza permite aumentar este parámetro sin que se vea mal.
Another thing I did was to intensify the saturation of the sea, while I decreased that same parameter in the sky, where I enhanced the clouds with filters to increase the clarity and light of the sky.
For highlights and shadows, I added some yellow and green respectively. The whole scene has more clarity, because nature allows to increase this parameter at the same time without looking bad.
La edición es sencilla, pero lograrlo me llevo tiempo, porque lo simple, a veces es complejo y no es casualidad.

Hola @miguelmederico, feliz y venturoso año 2022. Pues, yo sí creo que haces tus fotos, y no sólo eso, sino que me parecen preciosas. Me ha gustado mucho la forma tan sencilla cómo explicas el proceso de edición, pues para personas que tenemos poco conocimiento en el área, puede ser muy útil esta explicación. Con respecto a Cayo Sal, aún, a pesar de todas las circunstancias adversas, conserva su belleza; espero que todo Morrocoy siga igual de hermoso. Saludos.
