Great post.
I hate character gender block in MMO’s as well. MMO’s are all about freedom of choice and I feel like restrictions like that go against the ideals of the genre.
I find the criticism New World is getting is not in line with MMO’s, it feels more like criticism a finished game with an online options would receive or a MMO that had been out for ten years and they just broke it with a new update.
Anyways I am getting off track.
You seem to enjoy the game and we’re happy with 2 out of 3 of the characters you used. Would you recommend it to others or did it not meet your expectations?

Oh, I love New World! But the state it's in right now makes it unplayable. I play primarily for the gathering, crafting, and making gold aspect of the game, and to heal people in dungeons every now and then... but they stuffed up the economy entirely, turned off trading completely because of gold and duplication bugs that they were informed of back in the alpha, and then broke all area-of-effect abilities whilst trying to fix a pvp issue.
The game just wasn't ready for release yet, unfortunately.
BUT! Lost Ark! I'm actually in the middle of writing another post about it, this time on the gameplay aspects. 😃 This post was just an introductory on the classes and playstyles, next will be gameplay and enjoyment!
But yes, I recommend it!!
