Vanity

This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,

Vanity is something that is vain, empty, or valueless. It is an act of pursuing shadows, laying emphasis on things that perish and boasting over achievements etc.

A man that does not have the fear of God in him or her will always be seen to have a quenchless hunger for worldly things.

This is what makes a man sees himself as being better than someone else. Whatever you have, you were given so I see no reason why we should boast

You'll see a man clinging to a seat of power so tight and is ready to kill anyone, you'll see brothers fight over a piece of land, married men or women cannot be contented with his or her spouse.

You'll see a man with 10 expensive cars and is still craving for more cars, all these things are vain things. "Vanity"

We came to this world with nothing and we will go back with nothing. The Bible says that Godliness with contentment is great gain.

Whatsoever you have, when once your eyes are closed in death none of those things will accompany you to heaven.

Life is vanity upon vanity, lay your treasures above where no one, anything or even just can penetrate.

What shall it profit a man to gain everything, the whole world and lose his soul in heaven?

Live everyday of your life with total awareness that whatever you are pursuing today is not worth boasting or dying for if it has no place in eternity.

No amount of wealth and riches can win a place in eternity.
