A busy, tedious, tiring, and rewarding weekend.

This weekend was indeed a busy one, stressful one, tiring one and most importantly a rewarding one.

But the good thing is that it was actually a week designed for two different couples to be joined in holy matrimony having found each other.

Love indeed is a beautiful thing when you find, meet and stay with the right person. Before now, I could imagined how it will look like cos of different engagements I had and it was really a tedious and demanding one.

I had two different marriages I was very much needed so I already made up my mind that I'll be busy like really busy, I was actually close to the two couples, one was my church member while the other was a friend.

The two marriages especially the white wedding clicked the same day while the traditional marriage was on different days. One was in Wednesday,

I was busy helping out in the family compound till the time for the occasion Kick-started. I had no time to take pictures at all.

The next traditional marriage was on Friday, a parlour tm actually in the bride's father compound. The bride happened to be my church member so I, my mother, my girlfriend and my siblings were in charge of the kitchen.

Because it was tm, we had to cook different kinds of meals according to our tradition.

We cooked every meal that our tradition had. The work was much so the bride's mother solicited that women from that village come help out and they did.

Foods we prepared were;

• Jelof rice
• Coconut rice
• Atama soup
• Afang soup
• Ekpang Nkukwo

• Porridge plantain
• Editan soup
• ASA IWA

• Okro soup
• Otor mboro

• Chicken
• Meat

• White soup
• Vegetable soup
• Bitter leaf soup

In our tradition the bride's family usually prepare all the above meals listed for the groom's family to see what the bride will be preparing for him when they finally get married.

We also presented Palm fruits, Cassava flakes called edita IWA, ibong, Ayan Ekpang, cocoyam, water yam and banana. You can only see all these in ibibio culture and tradition and in my next life I'll gladly be identified with the Ibibio's.

The white wedding clashed the same day but in different churches and location. I could attend the one I was among as the asoebi ladies, it was a great week.

There was enough to eat, drink and make merry. Though I couldn't snap everything but I actually did take pictures, just feed your eyes and let me know what you think in the comment box.

I wish the two couples a happy marriage with fruitfulness and more everything.
