In the Equal Opportunity ruleset, all monsters are granted the Opportunity ability enabling them to target the enemy unit with the lowest health. Players are required to manage their team's health distribution and position monsters with abilities like Sneak, Snipe and Reach. Also, if you want to focus on overpowering opposition prioritizing skills like Piercing, Trample, and Double Strike along with deploying high-health tanks in the backline will significantly improve your chances of winning the battle. By understanding how these abilities work together and applying them within the rules of Equal Opportunity battles you can gain an edge.

This battle puts two summoners of the same ilk - Tyrus Paladium and Kelya Frendul who both provide armor to their respective lineups, but Keyla have an extra edge with its speed buff that it provides its monsters. And in a battle where there are only going to be melee monsters (Up Close & Personal), armor and speed were going to be crucial. The strategy I opted to have a monster who could do high DPS damage and then have enough buffs to aid survivability and damage. And this is vital as the opposition was not able to deal with the onslaught from the Double Strike damage from Hobgoblin which was effectively doing four damage each round and no amount of armor that the opposition had could stand in its way.

Do You Like the Equal Opportunity Ruleset? Why or Why Not?

We have previously covered the Equal Opportunity ruleset, and I am still learning more about it. What I did not realize the first time around is the synergies between all the different abilities and intricacies of how certain abilities will override each other i.e., the order of the hierarchy of applying the abilities. This complexity blows my mind and is why I love playing splinterlands. Otherwise, not much has changed since we previously covered the ruleset. Rebellion set does give you more options with more monsters with Double Strike (Nimbledook Ranger), and Taunting tanks (Bera Dallin) to deploy in the backline and absorb damage from the opposition. There are so many options in dealing with the Equal Opportunity ruleset that it can be overwhelming. The key is to keep it simple and focus on one strategy and if that does not work -- learn from it and move on to the next battle.
