Owning a Complete Chaos Legion Regular Foil Set and Land – Update 18

This week's splinterlands town hall provided an exciting glimpse into the development team's updated roadmap for the upcoming months. Although no specific release dates were promised, players can anticipate the arrival of Land 1.5 by August 1st. On the other hand, the release of the highly anticipated Rebellion edition may be postponed until the first quarter of 2024. While these changes may be disappointing for players, it's important to maintain perspective in the current crypto bear market. Despite the challenges, the splinterlands team continues to work diligently to deliver a premium web3 gaming experience.

As a player, these roadmap updates had a significant impact on my planning. I recently accomplished the goals I set for myself at the beginning of the year, which included acquiring a complete regular foil Chaos Legion set, playable in Gold leagues. Additionally, I decided to finally purchase a Land asset plot. An opportunity arose to purchase a Magical Common land plot for $145, $15 lower than the next available option, I seized the chance. While I can't definitively say whether it's a valuable piece of land, I wanted to secure a plot before the potential FOMO and hype around the Land 1.5 release.

Moving forward, the focus of my challenge will shift toward tracking the returns on my Land plot purchase. Currently, what is known is that I will need a minimum of $30 worth of Dark Energy Crystals (DEC) to stake monsters on the land. Although I don't possess a fully maxed collection of monsters, I plan to stake level six common monsters from the Beta edition. Additionally, with the new Rebellion set approximately nine months away, I aim to start saving toward that new edition. I firmly believe that splinterlands will be one of the web3 games that benefit significantly from the next crypto bull run.
