This week’s battle challenge focuses on the Explosive Weaponry Ruleset.

Ruleset Details

The Explosive Weaponry ruleset in splinterlands provides the Blast ability, which allows all monsters to deal damage to the adjacent monster. The damage dealt to the adjacent monster is half of the initial damage, rounded up. This ruleset enables the entire team to deal more damage than usual, making one of the favorite among the community. To take full advantage of this ruleset, the key strategy is to target the middle monsters of the opponent's team. By hitting the middle monsters, the blast damage can splash onto the adjacent monsters on both sides, maximizing the damage output. This is more effective than hitting the front line, where only one adjacent monster can be affected. Certain abilities work well with the Explosive Weaponry ruleset; The Snipe ability is particularly useful for range or magic monsters. Snipe allows a monster to target the opponent's first line directly, bypassing the front line and reaching the middle monsters. By using snipe, players can ensure that their attacks are focused on the intended target, maximizing the Blast damage and potentially taking out multiple adjacent monsters.

Explosive Weaponry battles truly live up to their name, with their fast-paced and action-packed nature. Scarred Llama Mage and Kron the Undying are a formidable combination, but Scarred Llama Mage and Pelacor Mercenary caught me off guard. With the low-mana cap, my opponent fielded only one monster, and with Pelacor Mercenary's being buffed to kingdom come and with the Blast ability, it devastated my lineup. Despite placing Lord of Darkness and Skeleton Assassin strategically, they couldn't withstand the might of Pelacor Mercenary with its 18 health. My attempts to divert attention with Furious Chicken and Carrion Shade failed.

Do you like the Explosive Weaponry ruleset? Why or why not?

The Explosive Weaponry ruleset in splinterlands offers the ability to deal Blast damage to adjacent monsters allows players to unleash powerful attacks. The Blast ability, combined with other supporting abilities such as Snipe, magic and range monsters, provides high damage quick matches. The downside with Explosive Weaponry is that the high damage potential of Blast attacks means that a single mistake can be costly. Monster positioning becomes extra important and the ability to absorb the damage and survive those extra few rounds become crucial. The Blast ability is why the OP legendary summoner, Yodin Zaku is famed as he provides the Blast ability to all friendly monsters and increasing their usefulness in battle.
